Nice lesson Lauren. How about using a D7 chord to make the chord change easier yet?
I show how to make it easier by playing the A7 chord differently.

My fingers are constantly getting hurt by those strings..is there any technique that can help?
The only answer is the spider-exercise daily, maybe 10 minutes... Maybe takes a couple weeks and the tips will harden. If your fingers are really tender, rest between days.

Yes there’s only one way to help the pain, practice every single day through the pain and it will completely go away after about a month, this is why 80 percent of people quit playing altogether.
I find it easy to grab the regular A and then just raise your middle finger.
