With the advent of the late UC, the advancements in minovsky technology allowed the late UC mobile suits to be more energy efficient, this means downsizing the suits as well. Also worth noting that at this time, the prices of plastic were increasing too, hence bandai opted for smaller plastic kits

Easily the most challenging gunpla I've built. Might even be smaller than the old MSiA Gundam toys. The fact that rg is even possible at this size is nothing short of alchemy. Surprised nothing broke, clipping & cleaning the V-fin was pure anxiety

The V-Fin on mine broke a few months after I built it. I don't know why

For the red markings on the face you could use a red Gundam marker and a toothpick. Take a piece of scrap paper and drain some red on it, then dip the toothpick tip in to provide a fine point for panel lining said color in. I did it for the power symbols on the HG Barbatos and it came out pretty great.

Not really, it's the standard RG price (2000-2500 yen).
But compared to the others RGs it's so minuscule it seams more like a scam more that a steal.For the same price you coul buy RG red Frame, Quanta, MK II or Talgeese, or by spending a couple more buck 00 Raiser or Astray Gold

@@s3d17 yeah, in Europe too... Except when you buy them from japanese sites, like HBJ or Banzai Hobby. And the price he showed is for HLJ. The fact is that you will never pay 20$ by buying it in a shop, but you will pay 20$ (plus shipping) for almost every RG if you buy them from those sites
@@SimonSater Well.. in US Customs now aggressive go after people for import duties. Save a few bucks here and there and then inevitably get hit with a massive import duty bill. 😈🤦♂️

Just finished building this as my first gunpla. Phew, that was an interesting start to the hobby. Next model will definitely be bigger. But all in all an impressive little kit

This is my first rg kit
I bought this as my first model and while researching ahead of building it got talked into making something else first, so I built a HGGTO Char Zaku II and RG wing zero first, tbh this kit isn't too bad cause everything is solid, the small parts can be hard to contend with but I find kits with janky/frail parts harder to build than ones with small parts, like some of my biggest struggles have been the skirting on the HG Messer and the tubing on the Zaku II RG (once again due to the fragile tubing moreso than the tiny parts.)
It's funny how "meh" the Gunpla community generally was when this was announced...and now its getting rave reviews & on backorder everywhichwheres 😁
Because they think it's too small. Lol. I hate people who keeps yapping like that.
I bought both the HGUC Crossbone Gundam and the Full Cloth GBF, but this is worth more then both of those kits combine. I'm definitely getting this.

I just bought one from Hobby Lobby of all places. They only have 3 different MS kits at a time and don't cycle their inventory very often. But they always have sales, as I bought my Crossbone for only $12. 😋
Honestly i find it amazing, to do this much detail and gimmicks for such a small kit must've been extremely hard

Not a fan of the pirate theme, but I love how this Gundam is armed to the teeth. The front skirts are claws, beam knuckles, heat daggers on the feet etc.

They did the red scars on the RG Destiny, wish they did the same on this kit.

I pre-ordered mine back at the end Of April thinking HLJ would just order one/put one by for me, but having logged on it is showing as "backordered"...a bit lost why I bothered to preorder 🤷♂️
As UK customer we are a bit stuffed for getting kits - it's either HLJ or Amazon really 😕
With the mantle and hook and chain things with the front skirts all you need is something like the side skirt parts off the Vidar and he's full-on an AoT character haha

This was the first kit I got, a christmas gift, waited to build a HG Barbatos first just cuz I wanted some experience doing gunpla before I made it since I LOVE the look of this litl guy. Sadly My full eye was dropped and lost so mine is in permanent pirate eye patch mode which is fine, but does make me a litl sad.
Love your videos usually come to check them out before I buy a kit just so I have an idea of what I have coming.
I bought it yesterday and I confirm how small is the scale for being a RG model (compared with HG Classic Gundam) and I got some challenge building the head parts, specially the eyes stickers on the small eyes area.
I think that drop down gimmick is for F91 wing blaster pose, is rg f91 confirmed?!

Finally getting back into Gunpla after four years of hiatus (last kit i bought was 1/100 Gusion Rebake) and the Crossbone was my first MG. Somehow, it didn't completely turn me away from MGs, thing was an absolute nightmare of a kit. It definitely hasn't completely sold me on MGs (now all I have is an X with a broken arm for the cannon, Nu with a missing finger, and Banshee which is.....a unicorn MG). I'm glad to see it's a different story with this RG release, though, because I've had pretty piss poor luck with RGs too.

those "tube things" on the core fighter are actually the beam sabers of the Gundam. They function as beam machine guns for the core fighter.
Thinking of the skirt armor as some jack in the box clown "look at my flower" gadget is just hilarious.
IIRC, the skirt armors were also used to, either grab the Beam Zamber to greatly extend the range or, grab the enemies and thrash them around to disorient the pilot (with great effect).
I like the way the mantle attaches with this instead of the way the HGBF Full Cloth attaches. The shoulder attachment always pops off. This seems more solid.
So who will dare to customize these to the RGBF Cross Bone Maoh or the Crossbone X1 Full Cloth?

My only problem with the Crossbone is posing it. There are so many weapons and awesome poses you can do that it is hard to choose.

Review the rg full bernern gundam, I absolutely love it tbh
I have just built my RG Crossbone and I would like to ask if the head joint is really loose. When I try to tilt up or down it easily comes off. I am assuming that the ball joint for the head is not too tight for easy swapping of the ABC mantle.
The Ver.Ka was an awesome kit so definitely want to build the RG.
Excellent review as always, super glad to hear they did right by the Crossbone and I'm gonna go put an order in for one right now cause I need that piratey goodness! Wish the cloak covered more of the unit but I guess concessions had to be made in order to keep the articulation unhindered.

My fiance just got me one of these for Father's Day, and she didn't know that it'd been delivered, so I accidentially had a marvelous surprise and got this lil' Jolly Roger. Really good day.
The red lines on the head are in the decals. It's a little tricky with precision given the size, but they do look great once you get them on.

I use a red sharpie pen for the red scars on my crossbone kits. The tip of the pen is perfect for detailing those scars.
I am so going to enjoy building this!
since the scars are sculpted, they're pretty easy to paint red and clean up

This looks so good for a small kit, considering part separation and all the things that go right. MG, why only grade it gold tier and not gundarium tier like the Moon Gundam?
The red lines like the Destiny are one of the better ideas to include on a Gundam head.
Tiny, full of detail, fair amounts of effect part, and quite cheap! Wow I'm impressed bandai....

I bought a my gundamn unicorn phenex matalic gold and I have a question my model has a problem with the waist joint the part to lock it in don't really work it comes undon and its ankles are extremely lose gets worse to stand it with the backpack with the big sheilds
