This one is the best way to do you know you may pause and replay your video. I normally do acrylic and watercolor and tbh it’s difficult to paint at first but when you practice until you succeed

Those were really beautiful! I think the ornaments stand out more when the tree is darker.
Yes! I personally love the more subtle version where the lights blend into the tree more, but I think it's just a preference of style and what you prefer more!

Hot tip: You can mix the masking fluid with a little watercolor. This way it is more visible on the white paper and the application is easier. Don't worry, the watercolor will not stain the paper (:
It won’t if you have good quality masking fluid and paper.
Or just use colored masking fluid eg Schmincke lightblue
