Thank you! Cheers!
Love Outdoor trees and soaking in all your strokes Ty so much
You’re welcome!
Thank you for sharing your talent and passion. This was a useful tutorial. Your way of explaining is on-target. Also thank you for NOT having LOUD, THUMPING MUSIC in the background. Again, thank you for posting this great video.
So great to hear, thank you for watching!
What a beautiful artistic hand & eye you have. Always just enough.
Thanks so much Joyce
love your style so much. thank for your tips and narating.

I'm just starting to learn watercolors and feel lucky to have found your tutorials! Your detailed explanations and precise close-up photography are so helpful. Thank you!
Ah Cindy thanks!
Thanks for teaching us ...You are indeed very talented...
Ah thank you Juli
Happy little trees!
Very!
Love those trees and the tip about not tapering out to quickly as tree gets soooooo big! Thanks Harriet.
A pleasure Becky!
Yes! My trees have been known to turn into wigwams 😂
Thank you so much for the tutorial, It was perfect: nicely paced, lots of information and soothing music. I love how it is in real time-it is hard to follow a lesson that is sped up and that jumps into a more developed painting without instruction as to what happened.
Glad it was helpful!
This looks amazing, your so talented lv Ann uk🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧❤️❤️❤️
Thanks very much Ann - that means a lot!
I truly enjoyed it.thank you
So glad!
Thank you for explaining what you are doing. It is so helpful to understand WHY you are doing it too. Love all your videos, books and brushes!
Thank you so much for your support Sharon!
It is very helpful in your books that you noted which size brushes you are using. That helps me a lot! Thanks very much. Ok h I picked up your notecards and received them yesterday. Beautiful!!!
Really nice depth. I've found a hairdryer will 'arrest' the spreading of wet-on-wet trees by drying it quickly. Depends how soft you want the background trees to go.
That's a great tip!
i have enjoyed this session so much. Thank you. I can now do some more Christmas cards for my famly.. Lynda J. December 2023.....
Happy holidays!
Loved this lesson I hope to do this soon. Thank you.
Wonderful!
thank you so much for aharing ~^^
No problem 😊
So simple yet so lovely! I love the way the trees behind just fade into the distance.
So glad you love it!
Incredible Love it!
Woow.Great Job.Thank you

Thank you. I just spend a very enjoyable hour painting this forest scene and adding fun little details like a rabbit running across the snowy hillside.
I'm so glad you had fun!
Perfect!!! (I wish I could come up with a better word though!)
Thank you so much Paula!

You are so welcome!
Thank you. I love watching you paint!
Thank you so much, it means so much!
A lovely tutorial
Thanks Ann-Marie!
LOVE!!!
Thank you :)
Thank you so for your detailed tutorial . I'm not an artist so your being specific about the brushes, paints and art supplies is invaluable. And a left-handed artist? ... Now that's just nice.
Thank you Peggy, that means the world!
Still in awe of your brush control. It simply does your bidding! I’d like to see how to add snowy branches to my trees, any kind of tree actually.
Thank you for a wonderful card idea. Oh, and your brushes are tops too😊❤
Thanks so much Catherine, I do have a snowy tree tutorial in the Christmas playlist.
Loved watching you create this beautiful winter scene!🌲
So glad!
I love it! I’m going to try it.
Have fun!

Thank you Harriet that was brilliant. I love the simplicity of the colours and the shapes.
Ah thanks!
looks easy probably is BUT NOT FOR ME !!! I love painting but am yet to create something recognisable. I guess I am more Picasso than constable . Harriett your an inspiration and I love to watch and try, thank you for showing us how.
It’s all about just playing! It sounds like you’ll make some great art!
You are so talented!
Thanks Donna!

Thanks for watching!
Love your winter painting.ful . It is so beautiful!!!
Thank you so much 😀
Harriet, greetings from Brazil!
I loved this snowy forest scene so much! IMHO it looks very elegant with a muted green / gray color palette, and beautiful depth where the background trees have what looks like an out of focus effect to my eyes.
I decided to paint this scene myself not once, not twice, but TEN times and I must tell you, you were responsible for giving this beginner watercolorist a GREAT time this weekend! And now I have all these cards to send my friends, which is also lovely!
While painting it, I found that the wet-on-wet part was by far the hardest as I had to paint the background trees on a very specific level of paper wetness, otherwise the paint would spread out too much. Also once the paper got to this “middle dampness” it was still hard as it would dry out way too fast (faster than what I see in your video). After a couple of suboptimal attempts I realized that the paper dried first at the edges, which was the final piece of the puzzle, as painting the side trees first allowed me to fit all my background trees in the optimal paper dampness!
All in all, I just learned so much from this exercise and I’m really grateful to you. Thank you for all the lovely content and happy holidays! 🎄
Amazing stuff! Happy holidays!
Beautiful!
Thank you! Cheers!
Really lovely
Thanks so much! 😊
Can you imagine receiving a card so beautiful???!!! I would totally frame this!
Ah thanks Hannah

Beautiful winter picture .Thank you Harriet.
So glad you like it!
So beautiful ! I'm going to try this right now! Lovely, lovely painting indeed!
Thank you! Cheers!
How lovely! I live in a place where there are lots of Christmas trees farms and you can see them growing in lines, but we also have lots of mountains with natural evergreen forests that look like your painting!
How wonderful!
Super video, you’re very talented and I love your accent!
Ah thanks Nicolas!
Thank you so much your forest is délicat and you explain very well your paint.🥰❤
Thanks so much
Oh my stars. You made that look so easy.
Thank you!
@@deWintonPaperCo just can't wait until Tuesday to get my Amazon order of palette and paints to give it a try.
Such a beautiful card! Especially the background trees. I hope my background trees resemble trees once they dry. Looking forward to seeing more of your Christmas/ holiday cards - thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much Kelli, keep going!
Beautiful!!
Thank you very much!

This whole channel is just beautiful. It’s soothing, gorgeous, well explained, & well paced. These trees are spectacular!
Thank you very much!
That is amazing I’m so impressed I love the back trees then the sharper ones in the front truly magic …stunning ❤️
Thank you! Cheers!
So beautiful and you inspire me to keep painting. ♥️
Thank you so much 😀
I LOVE this! I will try it. Thank you.
Brilliant thanks Debbie!
Lovely, I never used water colors, but now I want to because you can get such amazing looks with then that you can't get with acrylics.
Good luck!
Excellent! I’ll be using this for the holidays! Many thanks!🥰
Thank you so much!
Thank you so much. Beautiful work
Thank you so much!
I’ve lived in this scene all my life. I’m on the border with Canada. Lots of evergreens and lots! of snow. The one tree with more burnt sienna, looks like a tamerack tree. They turn that color before the needles drop. The only one that drops all its needles. Will be making this one. Thank you ❤❤❤
That sounds amazing!
Beautiful! Thanks Harriet!
Thanks Paola!
I really love this one ❤️
Thanks so much Kim!
Thank you for this!
Please can you clarify how you do your green?
Hi Jane, it's a case of adding paynes grey to the sap green
I LOVEEE your work and would love to see more Christmas cards if you have the time. Your fall porch is on my list to paint, because I simply adore it 😍 can you make a Christmas one ?
I hope you've seen our Christmas porch tutorial!?
I started painting Christmas cards last year after a too long hiatus from painting. I found your channel while looking for some fresh inspiration for this holiday season. I love how you paint your background “ghost” trees and your tips on how not to wind up with a bottom heavy monster tree🤣. I’m quite looking forward to giving this painting a try.
I'm so glad you like it Laurie and good luck with the cards!
Beautiful it’s on my do list this afternoon.😊
Have fun!
Very beautiful little painting
Thanks Martine
That was brilliant, beautiful and quite straightforward. As a newbie to watercolour, I think I can handle this without too much frustration. Going to give it a go soon as the sun moves away from my studio window. It''s a bit too hot to sit there right now lol. Thank you!
Good luck - you can do it!
Fabulous
Thanks Pia!
Beautiful, I am definitely going to give this a go but I doubt it will look anything as good as yours.
You can do it!
@@deWintonPaperCo I'm going to try x
My sort of Christmas card, thank you for the tutorial! I love it xx
You’re welcome 😊
Really love this one, I'm trying it tomorrow. Great instructions 👌👍
Hope you enjoy
A very nicely done video. Focused and concise. Reminded me of a few of my design professors back in the 90's. Thank you for sharing!
Ah thanks so much!
J’ai adorée la représentation de votre carte ,si délicate avec une ambiance douce 👏 de France
Thank you so much!
Amazing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for showing the techniques of painting the background trees while the paper is still wet. Wow, it really does show they are far away. And I love the way you make your trees. I wonder how it would look with a bit of white paint or gouache sprinkled on the final work. Beautiful work that I need to try!
My pleasure 😊
This is a lovely Christmas card design,,,xxx 🎄🎄
Thank you very much!
Very nice...going to try and make some cards like this!
Have fun!
Gorgeous! I wish I could do this but I'm not an artist like that but I love watching!
Thank you Julie, it's all about being creative :)
