  • What a phenomenal "full bag" safari taken in Cameroon by our good friend and hunter from Texas. From the little to the large this safari was as exciting as they get with a lot of laughter along the way too!!

    I finally got my safari I been dreaming of for fifty years. I started reading stories about Africa when I was ten years old and never thought I would get there. Me and my one stepdaughter are going in September and she and I are both super excited!

      Would you be able to tell me how to contact Paul? After he introduced himself in the video, I realized I met him in the airport while we were both on our way to Zimbabwe. I made some notes of our conversation but didn't get his contact info. He used a 404 J on this hunt in your video. I also have a 404 J and just want to ask him some questions.

    By far the best Lord Derby Eland hunt I've ever seen! I've been to Africa 3x in the last 4 years, but the Lord Derby is my number one dream trophy. Hopefully someday soon. Thanks for a fantastic video

    Curious about the month hunting. I am scheduled to hunt LDE in mid January of 2025 and hoping to see something similar.
    Cheers!

    Ohhh I love to watch videos from Buchanan Hunts. Very professional and it reminds me always on my hunts in Zimbabwe looooong time ago. Africa and it's wildlife have to be protected and this is only possible if hunters go there and spend money so the people are interested to keep this area for animals. Looking forward your next video. When I come to you and hunt with you, my followers on my youtube channels will be pleased to see, how we can make conservation also abroad!

    really great video and I love too see the long format ones! Cameroon seems like an incredible place to hunt but I want to know more about the python. Is this a regular thing to hunt in the area and is it offered as part off the safari package? also what are their numbers like in there, I'm sure if there was not many off them around it would no be offered. very interesting to see as a South African where seeking out taking a massive rock python is not common at all. Anyway I love all the videos you make and keep up the good work.

    • @buchananhunts8153
      @buchananhunts8153  Год назад

      Hey Jack, interestingly it is very common here in Cameroon. It is actually the only country in the world where you can legally harvest and import a rock python. It is actually on of the most sought after trophies in Central Africa for collectors. You will often see their tracks as well as a few of them on trail cameras.

    What a great video and great hunts; I know different personalities are always prevalent, but if I were to go hunting in Africa, I would surely want a guide that showed enthusiasm at least a little bit. This particular guy does not show that he has much interest in the hunt. I may be totally wrong about seeing so many more videos of African hunting, before the guide actually shows excitement and emotion and enjoyment of his job with this guy I don’t see That he enjoys his job in the least. I would not want to go hunting with this guide.

AND THEN THEY CALL IT "WILD AFRICA" 🙄🤣😂🙄
    Killing a Python??? so much so for conservation. 😡

    • @buchananhunts8153
      @buchananhunts8153  Год назад +1

      What is it that you find difficult to believe in this video? The hunt was conducted in Cameroon on one of Mayo Oldiri's hunting concessions. This is wild and untouched and as real and free range as hunting gets. So many of the clients' stalks were busted and they came up empty handed, this happens often.
      We believe that with a good professional hunter and a great tracking team they will get you into the perfect position and if you're lucky and your stars align the right trophy will step out and you will be presented with your shot, Whether that be 200 yards or 40, well that's out of your control.
      Cameroon is the only country in the world that you can legally harvest a python. The government has done their due diligence and research in order to allow numerous country authorities to issue import permits. If you've ever been to Cameroon you will know that it is not uncommon to see numerous python tracks and possibly even python during the course of any hunting day.
