Always good to see my long time neighbor and friend Stan in your movies. By the way Billy, I couldn't make out the single shot rifle that the Spaniard carried. It looked similar to my Blaser K77 but it could also have been a Merkel K2. They are marvelous rifles since they can be taken apart within seconds and fit easily inside the backpack.

I have probably told this on here before, but my child 18 at the time took an axe straight to his foot 1st day in the boundary waters 1st trip ever. We were so lucky that we were only an hour paddle from the car. My buddy here has insurance good insurance and he had to wait like 6 months to have hernia surgery. It's weird and not comforting when they make a person wait a long time for surgery. We live about an hour south of Duluth. Go out to the st Croix state park all the time. Way to getting him out of there. So awesome.
As a Brit I’m glad I’ve come across your channel, Alaska is the pinnacle of my bucket list. You must walk some sort of miles let alone the extra trips to and fro to get the camera set up for some of the shots

My grandma tried to make me eat liver when i was a little kid and I would just gag. My whole family would eat liver and onion and I went Hungry. 😝🤮 Anyway I love how you do things and can so relate to the things you teach. I would LOVE to hunt with you someday. I watched one man who took in powdered citric acid and created solution he sprayed on the meat quarters and back straps [no cape]. It put a sort of blackened layer on the meat but that protected it [from insects I think] It was the 1st time I ever saw that done.
Mike is holding the gun backward at 1:30:00 I only saw one other guy holding a gun like that, and he is Canadian... That Canadian can also build a mean left-handed knife.. you can give Mike his number if he ever needs a good knife!
I also could set you up with a Right-Handed Canadian who fabricates a deadly custom bipod... if a guy doesn't want to use it for a bipod you could always use it for hiking sticks...

These are my thoughts on the Dall sheep that you might understand . To me , the Dall sheep is a mystical animal . Because of there stoick stance and soft looks , I call them the guardians of the path that leads to heavens gates !!!! When you hunt them , both the sheep and God look into your soul . If you are a good person and are following the path God put before you , that sheep will appear and give up its life for you !! He will only if there are more guardians behind him to take up the roll . NO HUMAN deserves it or deserves anything !! If both the sheep and God see you are not going to give up and giving all you have to climb those mountains , at the top of the last mountain you climbed and have nothing left , that sheep will appear and be there waiting for you !!! In all the sheep hunts you have for everyone to see , you are never able to stalk a Dall sheep . The sheep never moves for you to follow his trail or hide behind bushes for you to seek out . Those big majestic sheep are ether there waiting for you or there not . If they are not , don't blame the sheep , the weather or the climbs but look into your life and fix what's wrong .
