A new Mauser M98 Magnum! What a fantastic rifle to use on a hunt like this. Good choice Calvin. It looked like it was working well for you. And well done to the videographer for the short segments showing the rifle's action being used up close.
Shooting at some of these dagga-boys is like shooting at a tree! Incredible animals.🤗

@ 3:17 the first round Calvin inserts into the magazine appears to be a Swift Break-Away Solid. Can anyone confirm? But the next two are not so easy to identify. Clues?
Edit: The second and third bullets put into the mag could be Federal Trophy Bonded Bear Claw rounds, noting that these are nickel plated for the case and bullet. It sure looks like it's those. No expense spared, for these buffaloes!

That is a double buffalo hunt, but one of them is the PH's... I hope the hunter didn't pay for the second one.
What caliber rifle did the hunter use on the Buffalo? 416 Rigby?
Hi Rohan. Yes, it looks like a 416 Rigby calibre. It's a Mauser M98 Magnum rifle, with a Swarovski 1-8x24 scope in Recknagel pivot mounts.
