The trick to flying EDFS is to keep the speed up. That doesn't mean you need to be flying full throttle, but you need enough speed to allow for the control surfaces to work since you don't have a propeller creating air flow over the control surfaces and helping their effectiveness.
Thanks for this! It was only today when watching a 9yo fly one of those trick planes in a gymnasium that I realized props push air and sort of create a breeze absent of wind 🤯
Great jet.👍 I think you'll become a good pilot with so many different planes at some point. You're already an excellent standup comedian. Entertaining, funny and you learn something along the way. Thanks and happy landings!
The good thing about EDFs is you don't have to worry about compressor stalls or flame outs. Those 2 things really determine how a jet (true turbine) flies compared to a prop. Nice looking bird! 👍
@@bigbristv Lol sorry bro, totally not my intention. Jets are kinda simple, but complicated.. basically, an EDF is more forgiving than a true turbine engine
The V1 really floated. With no landing gear and a 3s 1600MaH battery it was much lighter and thus could fly much slower before it stalled. It probably only flew 60-70 mph tops.
Ithe FM's viper has reverse thrust. However it's not labeled.look for the yellow wire on the throttle connection the yellow wire is always reverse thrust no matter the manufacturer it's just not normally labeled.
They call them jets for a reason bud there fast.😂 Good luck . I don't think the reverse thrust is for in the air I think It can be used on the ground only to slow down the rolling speed. . I think you skipped a few steps but again good luck and keep up the great work
Lol. Nah, this one's going to the beach. I may even try flying it in the rain. I figure this way: if I care (paid) less for the plane, I'll be more relaxed when flying it, sadly.
This is similar yo my HobbyKing Stinger 64mm 4s EDF jet. They are fast but your flying pretty good now you should be al good and if not will make a good video 😂

I am enjoying all your flights trials and learning moments!!!!
Thanks 😊
Yo Bris…love those old fighter planes. And congrats on the affiliate gig. You earned it for sure
Thanks, some of those warbirds are really nice.

@@bigbristv Your welcome
Watch yourself with freewing I'd stick to FMS and Arrows also I definitely wouldn't try flying in that park you flew the ranger in lol

I appreciate the vote of confidence bro 😂
@bigbristv welcome for sure be easier with FPV, but best to learn line of sight first, then maybe you can experience FPV it's a whole new experience.
You’re getting addicted to buying planes. I’ll see you at the anonymous meetings.
