when she walked out I would like to think she was looking at a mushroom cloud off in the distance and thinking how she fucked up and should of let him torture the kids.
I actually agreed with H at the end.... call me cold hearted if you want... but he wasn't actually gunna hurt the kids... he wanted to make the guy think he was.... then that woman let him go and he....... ugggghhhhhhhh I actually hated her
I loved the end of this movie. We see Agent Brody watching all the special forces converge on the location of the local bomb (LA I think). They successfully disarm it only for the camera to pan over and reveal a second nuke at the end of its countdown. This is the movie hammering home the point it was trying to make. At this point almost everyone we met in the movie is dead. Brody, H, the kids, the soldiers and about 10 million civilians. All dead. The movie forces you to ask yourself - how far would I go to stop that from happening? Its a real conundrum. On the one hand you can threaten to and/or actually kill children OR you could let 10 million people (including children) be killed through inaction. That's a real tough one. Mathematically the answer is simple, sacrifice the few to save the many but morally and ethically, this would be (wait for it) unthinkable. This is going to sound dark but I think I know what I'd do. I would do whatever it took to stop a disaster like that from happening, including the unthinkable BUT I know for a fact I would not be able to live with myself afterward. When the job was done, I would take my own life... I told you it would sound dark!
But was there really a 4th bomb??? Maybe he bought extra equipment in case...? Then again, how would he make more if he's already captured? Guess we'll never know.
