    Expect a new video every Sunday at 11AM Central!
    How Farms Work by Ryan Kuster is a RUclips channel based in rural Potosi, Wisconsin. Our mission is to teach those who didn't grow up on a farm what the farming life is like. These videos show the Kuster family working together raising cattle and crops. We believe everyone who wants to know more about farming should be able to share the farming experience with us and we look to educate the world on many essential agriculture topics.
    How Farms Work takes place on ~1,100 acres with around 75-200 cattle at any given time. Four John Deere tractors are currently used on the farm, which are a 4020, 4640, 7600, and 8235R.

    This brings back memories when I was a boy with my daddy at the John Deere dealership trying to decide which tractor between two choices would be the best option. • @niklas4042
    @niklas4042 Год назад +1

    you are really going to like the 7920, they are really versatile and the 8.1 engine will do you good, but take a good look at the fuse panel and look for areas that have been hot, ask i the u-joints have been changed at the driveshaft between the engine and transmission if they go is getting expensive fast. the front axel and final drives are expensive to fix too so keep a lookout for oil leaks. and maybe ask the previous owner if they ever have had the suction screen for the transmission and hydraulic pump out and cleaned. that is some of the things i know you have to keep a lookout for, otherwise if you make sure to service this tractor if will be good to you. excited to see more of this tractor :)

    I would not put a tune on that tractor. It’s getting in the range hours wise of needing an overhaul. It’s plenty for what you are going to do.
    That hydraulic fitting is nothing more then a case drain. Back in the day when the first vac planters came out you pulled a plug and added the hose and coupler. Today all tractors have them just about. Now with electric drive, on the Deere planters you have a PTO driven generator. With your system, which I’m not familiar with I’m surprised you don’t have one.

      I would agree. We just dumped a tranny in a 7920 this spring $20k to replace. 4300÷/- hours. Previouse owner had a chip in it. We removed it and still dumped it pulling a 44ft roller.

    My dad had a 7930 before he retired. It was a great tractor and pulled implements we had with ease. I just recall the multiple times I almost went into the ditch because I had the rpm too low and impacted the hydraulic steering up front. I was so used to the 4440 whenever we slowed down it first meant idling back the rpm before downshifting.

    Bodensteiners is good people to deal with most definitely! The 7920 is basically the do all tractor that can do anything big or small. Definitely a nice clean tractor that you guys will appreciate. And with it being mfwd and bigger in size and having a larger displacement engine it'd pull either chisel plow just fine.
