Yep there are so many great suburbs of Cleveland that everyone just moves 10 min away then drives downtown. Downtown Cleveland is safe but get a couple miles outside of downtown and it's very poor.

LOVE YOU'RE CHANNEL - BUT, if you want to see the worst neighborhoods in Cleveland, you've got to go to the EAST side of Cleveland. I'd be afraid to drive through there with an armored tank. East 40th and higher is like a war zone.
You buggin. It’s not that scary. Iont know, I’ve lived here all my life. Like in any hood, mind your business, know what’s the signs of a location being hot and always show respect . Maybe you just mean you’d be afraid driving through here cause the roads are so damn bad.
Lol that gas station @4:57 is on W.73rd and Lorain I use to see drug deals going on in the parking lot in broad daylight. But this video is of the West Side not the worse in Cleveland. The East Side is more sketchy. And East Cleveland looks like Detroit's little cousin.
Yes West side. I only go residential east once in a blue moon. Short west is iffy too. $200, 000 condo 500 feet away is a ramshackle dilapidated squatter house. Ditto on 73rd. & Lorain.
If you were dropped out of an airplane blindfolded with a parachute. And land on the east side anywhere except maybe University Circle, Little Italy or maybe Slavic Village, you might just think you were dropped over Detroit. That's how much different the east side is compared to any other part of the inner city. The west side does have some sketchy hoods. Storer Ave is probably the ugliest hood on the west side. Then you have the area around Madison Ave between West Blvd and W 65th St. Bellaire and W 130th is a bit shady too. But they don't compare to Fairfax, Buckeye & E 116th. E 105th and Superior is also bad. But I think Kinsman and Union are probably the most dangerous neighborhoods in Cleveland. St Clair is also pretty scary. If you're in the wrong spot on St Clair. Some parts of St Clair aren't so bad.
600 Melo bra im from the east but i live on the west and its not even close bra 😂 you got west 28th projects denison and bellaire and maybe the roc but dont none of them hoods come close to any east side hood
600 Melo West side got its hood parts. Def some parts of Triskett, Puritas, over there my Metro main campus, buttttttttt def quieter than Buckeye, MLK, Kinsman, Miles, Harvard etc. Hell the suburbs are even hood out East: Maple, Garfield, Bedford, Warrensville. Sheesh! But if you stay out the way you’ll be good on any MLK Blvd. 😆

HOPEFULLY YOU DO MORE VIDEOS IN DIFFERENT CITIES SOON. I'M FROM THE CHICAGO AREA BUT I MOVED TO ARIZONA FOR 1 YEAR AND IT'S GREAT.
Charlie you know what would be hella dope? If you took a gopro or smth and put it facing the other side of the road and let that video run in the corner of this video. Kinda like a 2 for 1. Bro do another one for Cleveland soon. I been here my whole n lost way too many to the streets. Homicide rate almost doubled and has one of the highest robbery rates in the us. Not a good place to raise a family. I’m tryin to get mine out now. I love my city but it’s ruthless af. I’m on w25 and Denison. Preciate your videos. Be safe! I’m not bragging at all just stating facts. It’s rough af here.
Damn my cousins used to live in those west side projects.i had so many memories of that when I was small.when you are young you don't see those things in a negative light.
Esoteric yeah the projects are the 1st place you get to leaving downtown but the stadium and arenas are surrounded by gang members even the Justice Center
one time when i was five my mom and i were driving through Euclid and someone pulled out a gun in front of us ! they were yelling at some dude about not stopping at the stop sign ? we just got the hell out of there!
I've lived in in the Cleveland area all my life, and Downtown for the last 5+ years, and this video is TERRIBLE if someone was to seriously use this as a reference for where 'not to go'. The first 3 to 5 minutes are of generally safe, highly walkable, high traffic downtown areas. While people should be on their guard in any metropolitan area, it's a joke that you're showing that as something to avoid. The other home streets are definitely not the really sketchy areas of town. While I might be on my guard in some of these, it's not like other areas you'd obviously poo your pants just driving through (if you consider these the 'rough spots' of the city). LAME. This vid is like Googling a random city, having it navigate you 'downtown', getting off and driving around randomly within 3 miles, getting back on the highway, and then claiming, "That was scary!" :-)
You'll definitely get better footage during the spring/summer months. When we were there, the downtown area was impressive, it wasn't until we wandered off the main roads that we started to notice a few things. University Circle was really beautiful along with the Museum of Art. I actually wandered into East Cleveland by accident and the business owners told me to go back before it gets too dark.
Mike Delzoppo why be heartless my brother. God wants you to strong, manly, and able to protect what is His, and your family, but you can do that with love in your heart. It is not the heartless or “strong” as people put it that survive. It’s people that are heartless on the news every night.
Charlie takes me where my handicap prevents me from going. I find the night time rides around these cities very soothing except when he goes into a corner market. The little town I grew up in had little markets on many corners, tiny groceries much like the neighborhoods in Charlie's videos. I enjoy seeing happy people enjoying the city at night too.
EC breaks my heart...I remember when it was thriving. But, it is going to make a comeback because us old heads are coming back and investing. That's what makes it different from Cleveland Metro....EC will look much different in 20 years,,which is about how long it will take to get the city back to what it once was and better!! #ECfoLife
It's the young kids though that are the key. The schools on the east side flat out just suck. They don't bother teaching the kids much of anything, course when they do the kids run them out. Kids all think they'll be dancers or professional athletes or think they'll live off welfare their whole lives (I'm serious, I've had kids say that).
I lived in those Projects back in 1963-65... They weren't bad then and some of my fondest memories of being a 12 year old kid are there, it use to be nice .....
I’ve had to do work in all the neighborhoods people are telling you about. Be respectful and you probably won’t have a problem. You show up like a tourist with your cameras going and you might find some of that unwanted attention your looking for.
Cleveland Worldwide that hasn't been my experience. Cleveland is way better than Los Angeles in my opinion . I been in Cleveland 5 years and I dig it . Some rough areas but on a much smaller scale than LA. All large cities are shitholes. Cleveland looks like downtown. Mogadishu, and Los Angeles is a third world country. I guess I just prefer Mogadishu. (Except you can't get a good burrito anywhere here. )
Edward Mclellan Thank you! We are always happy to have people like you here who come here with an open mind! We are a fun city, lots to do, lots of different cultures and food.
wow...I am so glad I am not there anymore. 22 years at the RTA was enough. recognized west 65 and lorain...the # 22 bus went there. thank you jesus...if your petty ass exists
There is a property management company based in Beachwood Ohio called Retiree Housing Management / RHM Real Estate Group. I am sure they do their utmost to contribute to the rundown nature of the disadvantaged sections of Cleveland, and, well, every community they sleaze their greedy tentacles into. You can't believe the things they do, especially to elderly tenants.
There's no such thing as worst hood your neighborhood and community is a state of mind. That dirt you walk on is no different than the dirt someone walks on in Beverly Hills or the Hamptons. What you think is the so-called hood or urban plight others see cheap land and an economic future. Stop letting others play mind tricks to make you think our communities are supposed be like this. A Generational Economic Education could the whole thing around.
Kinsman is pretty rough, I guess. I had to drive through there for about two years going to see a girlfriend I had who lived in Shaker. I never really felt unsafe pumping gas there in the kinsman/buckeye area, even at early hours of morning-but you better believe I was looking over my shoulder every which way at every time. Since she lived literally one street over from that area though, often times when we'd be watching netflix we'd hear gunshots at least once every weekend. Sometimes I'd hear 4, 5 shots...and we'd look at each other waiting to hear more. Sometimes we did, sometimes we didnt.
Definitely kept it safe I see, you are no where near the worst neighborhoods in CLEVELAND streets. But as a native I would rather show yall some of the best. #STR8UP
I use to live in Cleveland Ohio. I can remember alot of bad stuff happening. In the 70's and 80's tje schools were bad. It was nothing for gangs to come together and shoot, beat or even kill one another. That was mostly on the East side but the west side haf some bad spots ad well.
Welcome to my city and I'm sorry it sucks so bad. Especially when there is snow on the ground and the potholes can swallow your entire car. Come see us in mid-summer when it's gorgeous here but the rest of the country is sweltering!!! Much better then.
Economic disparity...I used to be right in it and got out of it...there is quite a bit more...the video brought back many memories of where I don't want to go back...I cleaned my thoughts up. It ain't easy but somebody gonna do it.
Why would he get killed just driving on that street? People don't kill people for the fun of it and besides if they go out killing they'll just go to prison for a long time even though they don't give a shit
tribalrydims. They're terrrible! Theres a pothole in the Buckeye area that will knock you all the way to st. clair! Sad part is that st clair is a good 20 miles from buckeye
Not very good roads, sidewalks, the snow is removed badly .... In Russia, everything looks much better and there is less waste on the street. From Russia with love!

Worst and most depressing area in Cleveland happens to be right off the freeway next to Rock n Roll Hall of Fame and Burke Lakefront Airport. A sad place called First Energy Stadium
worlds billionaires made over 462 billion combined in 2017. enough money to end extreme poverty around the globe 7 times over. wealth inequality widens. 42 of the richest people in the world now hold as much wealth as 3.7 billion of the poorest people in the world. 82 percent of the wealth created across the globe went to the top 1 percent. our broken economies reward wealth, not hard work. rich get richer, millions trapped in poverty wages or joblessness.
This is not new. It goes by many names but my favorite is "global corporate communism". At least the last 3 presidents all have been purposely sinking the country to a 3rd world one. Just look at Bush....no one attacked him like Trump even though he was a conservative/republican! He was a puppet too!!!! GOD, thank GOD for Trump! At least the take over is on hold for now....Americans should be scared of the extreme liberal cities.
Perhaps you should have titled the video "Driving around Cleveland" cause it certainly isn't a video showing the "worst hoods". Just a dreary winter day in Cleveland.
Wow! That's the old Irish projects shown at the end of this video-- Lakeview Terrace, at the far north end of West 25th Street, just off the Shoreway. I used to drive a school bus up in there. It's not the worst neighborhood in Cleveland, but it has it's fair share of problems. This video actually made me a little homesick. I'm in the sub-tropics now, after spending a decade on the west coast, but the most important part of me will always be a Clevelander. It's the Best Location In The Nation, although I guess that goes for anyplace you grew up in and loved. I've lived in Cleveland, San Diego, Houston, New York City, Washington D.C., Reno, Phoenix, back to Cleveland, Seattle, and now Cocoa Beach, in that order. I'm convinced that some of the most beautiful women in the country are born and raised in Cleveland! I'll always have an attachment to places out west: Sioux Falls, Livingston, Missoula, Virginia City, SeaTac, Tuscon, Santa Fe... And no doubt New York City is one of the greatest cities in the world. Living on the southern shores of Lake Erie, however, were some of the happiest times of my life. Thanks for uploading this short video of my hometown.
I like the way he currently does it. Most videos have just the sound of the environment and occasionally some with commentaries, which you can see if you browse through his uploads.
The, projects at the 8 min mark used to be FUCKED up in the mid 90s I remember the doors being ripped off the hinges and all the windows being knocked out on the first few buildings when you pull in. Pretty sure it’s the same place because they also got a high rise over there that caught fire a few years back
The fact is, more people are living better right here than anyone else ever before in history. So don’t expect us to roll over and play dead when you say you’re dissatisfied. It’s not perfect, but it’s a great deal better than when we grew up: a hundred men standing in the street hoping for one job; selling apples on the street corner- that’s one of the things we were dissatisfied about; and you don’t see that much anymore. You’re taller, stronger, healthier, and you live longer than the last generation; and we don’t think that’s altogether bad. You’ve probably never seen a ‘Quarantine’ sign on a neighbor’s door. Diphtheria, scarlet fever, whooping cough-probably none of your classmates are crippled with polio. You don’t see many mastoid scars anymore. We’ve done quite a bit of fighting all around the world. Whether you think it was moral or not a lot of people are free to make their own mistakes today because of it. And that may just include you.I don’t know; maybe part of it’s the fact that you’re in a hurry. You’ve grown up on instant orange juice. Flip a dial-instant entertainment. Dial seven digits-instant communication. Turn a key-push a pedal-instant transportation. Flash a card-instant money. Shove in a problem-push a few buttons-instant answers. But some problems you can’t get quick answers for, no matter how much you want them.We took a little boy into Central Receiving Hospital yesterday; he’s four years old. He weighs eight-and-a-half pounds. His parents just hadn’t bothered to feed him. Now give me a fast answer to that one-one that’ll stop that from ever happening again. And if you can’t settle that one, how about the 55,000 Americans who’ll die on the highway this year? That’s nearly six or seven times the number that’ll get killed in Iraq. Why aren’t you up in arms about that? Or is dying in a car somehow moral?
Ahh, Cleveland. A city I hope to visit someday. But I have to say some of those streets are jacked. All "hoods" always have the worst infrastructure. A lot of those areas would look a lot better if the roads weren't so terrible. Anyway, I always enjoy the seeing the roads less traveled. The struggle is real out there.
Cleveland is a great town. I lived there 54 yrs and have seen it’s ups and downs. Yes the demographic urban shift is real. Crime - real. Heroin epidemic - very very real. But the thing about CLE is - we don’t give up. I moved a year ago and I do miss it.
This is pointless you missed the worst places🤔🤔🤔 these are considered the best places downtown where you driving in the bus lane is where they pay the most taxes and held the DNC convention and the west side in the projects. Again near where they pay high taxes. Next time get a native from Da Land cuz you are truly lost.😑😑😑
Lived in Cleveland for almost 10 years, east and west sides, only time I was ever hassled or threatened was in "Little Italy." The worse I ever got in "the hood" was a "what'choo doing here boy?" look and some derisive laughter.
The ghetto in Columbus is really bad. The funny thing is, he is from Detroit, but he won't film Lansing, Battle Creek, Kalamazoo or Grand Rapids either.
poverty is everywhere .but overall columbus is a well kept city , cincinnati looks much different then both giving the fact that its a much older city. you couldn't even tell cleveland and the nati in the same state lol
from my experience up there mt .Vernon was off the chain , my brother's said in the short too. with O state being there i think they put more money in to the city . its surprisingly much slower then cincinnati tho.
Marc Shumer i don't know bout that . it's a rough town but cincinnati is too. Not to try to make it sound cool that our cities fucked up lol but hey...

Ziah Marie. Well not only this City but many many more in America should be proof that America is now a Third World Country. Thank you. Oh by the way. I was born and raised in Washington DC and grew up in Little Italy. Well now I live in Bagheria Sicily. And no it is not Third World here.

Greg B actually it starts to get bad at E.30th and just get worse
You buggin. It’s not that scary. Iont know, I’ve lived here all my life. Like in any hood, mind your business, know what’s the signs of a location being hot and always show respect . Maybe you just mean you’d be afraid driving through here cause the roads are so damn bad.
Exactly shut up
The Kinsman neighborhood is literally mostly an urban prairie. Yet this guy chose Ohio city and the area near progressive field. 👀
My dad used to own a small store in East Cleveland and he took me there a few times and it always spooked me out.

Lol that gas station @4:57 is on W.73rd and Lorain I use to see drug deals going on in the parking lot in broad daylight. But this video is of the West Side not the worse in Cleveland. The East Side is more sketchy. And East Cleveland looks like Detroit's little cousin.
Ik sold mines there but im a true og dtw nigga
@Shalena N. livinglife he aint & most definitely don't know about EC cause he can meet me at any gas station by shaw 2 get the real!
I agree that MANY parts of Cleveland's east side could be mistaken for Detroit if you didn't know you were in Cleveland.
Dude, you only went on the west side. The East side is WAY worse. GO to East Cleveland.
Relax it's not that serious. Pretty sure he has made a video of other parts of the city.
yeah and west side is just as bad as the east side
600 Melo naw its not yall camt be serious east side is by far the worse and its not even close

Seems to be a strange trend where it's generally a bad neighborhood next to Stadiums and Arenas.
Esoteric For some reason the hood always surrounds downtown's of cities especially the projects.
Esoteric yeah the projects are the 1st place you get to leaving downtown but the stadium and arenas are surrounded by gang members even the Justice Center
you think they gon bother a white neighbourhood with the building of big ass stadiums
one time when i was five my mom and i were driving through Euclid and someone pulled out a gun in front of us ! they were yelling at some dude about not stopping at the stop sign ? we just got the hell out of there!

Nah sorry miss but people in cleveland to ignorant to change EC

Cleveland is really not bad. I moved from Los Angeles to Cleveland. Cleveland is a way better town. Way safer . More culture. Better people.
Cleveland Worldwide that hasn't been my experience. Cleveland is way better than Los Angeles in my opinion . I been in Cleveland 5 years and I dig it . This is the outskirts of the west side which really is the nicer part. Now the east side looks like a run down abandoned city where crime is rampant.
It actually isn’t that bad... at all
Downtown Cleveland isn't bad it's over crowded and why aren't you on the East side at all. The West can get bad but not as bad as the East.

I was born and raised. I love Cleveland. I live in Pennsylvania now. I miss the city, and the people. 😔
That’s real. Gotta appreciate cheap land.
55th? St.Claire? Superior? EC? Kinsman? Central? Union? Miles? Harvard? Broadway?
#STR8UP
