    I'm 17 and already badly addicted to snus, I've wanted to quit for a long time now and this might be it. I'll be taking these tips with me on my journey. Great video never even really concidered vitamins as any help. Tried to quit a few times now with little results. Also a lot of my friends use snus actively and I'm wondering if it will be easier if I distance myself from those user friends for a while to stop the never ending cycle of throwing away all my snus, hanging with my friends and asking for one more portion.
    TLDR: 17 quitting snus great video this will be the beginning of a better me

      @@LINKINPERRY Well currently im on my 11th day of not taking it, i feel back in the trap 2 days after i wrote the comment. But I feel much better now. It took me about 3 days or so, and then i haven't really looked back since. I still have moments when i think to myself "ohh i could use a snus right now" but then i just wait a minute or two and think of how far I've come and then it doesn't even compare anymore. It's easy to take another if its only a couple hours inbetween, but as time goes on in your stop, you sorta have this pride that stops you from taking it again. Hopefully you can make some sense out of this :) Have a good rest of your day.

    I'm a total snus addict and I'm giving this a try. I use snus at my stressful job, but also when I want to chill, or when I am engaged in my hobbies. This means I got to use all the time. I'm afraid to stop using abruptly as I don't want to lose my temper, snap at my spouse or my kids. I get very low and irritatated when I try to quit. Can't do it without help. I will suspend my scepticism regarding over-the-counter pills and supplements. Will keep everyone posted.

      @@theandymacarthur Today is my fourth nicotine free day. Feel pretty good. Taking loads of Rhodiola to keep the cravings at bay. The rhodiola appears to do what it says on the tin. I feel relaxed and I guess my mind is clearer. Taking vitamins C, D and B. The cravings come suddenly and here are some of the triggers:
      1. When starting a hobby related activity
      2. After meals (like a bag of hammers)
      3. When I glance at the shelf in the fridge where I kept my snus
      4. My favorite trigger - "For no particular reason"
      What I do like:
      1. It is not a big deal if the snus shop closes in 5 minutes and I don't have any
      2. I am attentive and stick around when family members have something to share. Normally I would try to get away so I could focus on my buzz.

    The easyest way to quit snus is by working everyday out ! And motivation to not be addicted to something ! Its all about why you wanna quit ? For me its not to be adicted to something to be stronger then my addiction to something . I found out that working everyday out helps you forget about snus ! So 2 main things WORKOUT and the will to be stronger then addiction :)

    Today marks two weeks without nicotine and it's getting easier every day. When the cravings are at their worst, it is sufficient for me to take two 500mg rhodiolas in one go. The craving quickly subsides, and I can focus on what I should be doing. I haven't taken rhodiola for a few days now, because I haven't felt like using, or been close to relapsing. Cravings come and go however, and I will always have Rhodiola in my medicine cabinet going forward.

In the beginning I had to go well beyond the recommended dose, but now one is sufficient. Since quitting snus, I've had trouble sleeping, but it's getting better. Breath is much improved and sinuses are clear. Didn't realize snus messed with those kinds of things. Mostly I've just enjoed not being controlled by snus. • @theandymacarthur
      @theandymacarthur  6 лет назад +1

      Hi Alex, Obviously I am not a Doctor or Nutritionist however for the first two to three days I would take up to six at a time no more than three times a day as after the third day there should be no Nicotine present in your system. The Vitamin C helps strip the Nicotine out of your body as well. After that, once you are fully sober/clean, I would take as directed but...if you experience a craving take a few more just to get rid of the craving.
      Check out my Triangle technique video as the Triangle is fantastic for dealing with cravings too. Remember, each day after you have stopped using Snus it will get easier and easier.I wish you all the success and if you need any more advice, I am here for you.

    Hi, great video! I've been taking snus for nearly 6 years and 1 month ago I decided to stop. I've been without snus for about a week now. I still have constant cravings, but I will make it. I've used nicotine-free snus that resembles what I used to take and 2mg nicotine gum. That has worked great for me, but because I still have cravings I've bought some Rhodiola and vitamin supplements.
