Hey ben, Can you try playing berserker for a while specifically brass knuckle builds? Because if you were a brass knuckle berserker, and you find the villain sword, you have the only 1 slot melee weapon in the game, plus the hammer. So that's 2 zero stamina melee weapons that don't block any extra slots of the villain sword. I think that's the way to actually get the villain sword strong enough to make it to late game. That and daggers obviously. Then go for low stamina weapons and stamina pots or wolpertinger or something, instead of hoping its the only thing not stamming out. By using the brass knuckles, the hammer, and at least 1 dagger, you can leave almost all the external stars open for the possibility of 13 weapons around the villain sword. Obviously the more daggers the better because of the zero stamina cost, but if the others are at least low stamina, I think it's viable to just burst people down super fast. Granted it is only 90% accurate and daggers are only 95%, so maybe you'd need to find one or two luck in the build as well. But I think brass knuckle berserker is the key to making villain sword pop off.
Another way to help find more weapons for the villain sword could actually be pack leader, like you did in this video. Because Courage puppy actually counts as both a pet and a melee weapon, so the courage puppy can also buff the sword. Granted you can't get to 13 weapons this way because you can't also have the only 1 slot melee weapon. but it would be pretty cool
