Nier Ko-shi and Ro-shi Boss Battle.
The seamless transition between characters was a thing I had been considering for a "dream game" concept of mine. I am both glad and pissed to see that I have been pre-empted.
Sapheiorus you should play Transformers: Fall of Cybertron. The last mission constantly transitions between Autobots and Decepticons and the last fight is even a choose-your-character faceoff
I thought it was cool switching between A2 and 9S while going up the tower
That one time when 9S and A2 work together...for like 10 minutes.
And then they go back to (trying to) beat the crap out of each other as soon as the battle is over.

Also let him stab her - cos she was obviously stronger- and saved 9S's ass, just as 2B wanted.

@@BigBoss-gb4cx wasnt stronger tbh. Mind you she was fighting an 85 PERCENT corrupted 9s (was we know this virus basically renders androids useless yet due to sheer hatred and willpower managed to fight thru it) whos body even before the virus was in extremely unstable conditioning. A2 was actuallly very lucky in this case to be fighting a severely handicapped 9s yet only managed to get the upper hand on him
it's interesting because ko-shi and ro-shi literally translates to "confucius" and "laotzu"
F K Which they both fucked the Chinese education towards kids.

They also form a crude yin and yang together
discopete117 theirs also two other Shi’s present in the first two routes. Imagine if all four of them merged.

Imagine fighting this boss and you had to fight 9s the entire time simultaneously
Everytime you switch you have to fight them and no matter what health you left them at is the same health your at when you switch to them

This is one of the weirdest bosses I have seen in a game.

When we finish this boss, we can clearly see that 9S doesn't want to stop his vengeance against A2. If he fights with A2 here, it's only because he knows that he isn't strong enough to take care of the machine alone. However, when he knows that the boss is defeated, he doesn't wait A2 to cover and shoots, hoping it will kill her without fighting directly
It’s basically all comes down to this I mean a2 was a different person but essentially she’s 2B combat wise so everything you learn from part a and b will all be tested here

Heh... When I reached this Boss I was already at Lvl 90+ from the bunny grinding I whacked him down within seconds going back and forth between A2 and 9S pretty much oneshotting him with every hit before the change to the other character happened...
damn I don’t know that in this fight you will switch between A2 and 9s...I just fought this boss with my level at 72, this boss just been wipe out by my A2 in couple of seconds...

I felt the ending was so anti-climatic in this branch. I really expected something related to the watchers/the flower/zero at the top of the tower. It was really disappointing that there wasn't another twist here. It really felt like there should have been.
How cool would it of been if Kaine was at the top of the tower and had the flower growing out of her eye like Zero did and then Emil showed up and everybody went to town. With some more fleshing out it could relate back to why Eve had tattoos of the Watchers and why the machines eyes were turning red. sigh... The story for the game was great but at the same time there was so much wasted potential.

Honestly,even Nier and Drakengard games had a lot implications that there were more in the background,but they wasn't explained at the end. Probably in an another game we will get an answer.
MrTrojis speaking of missed opportunities, imagine a secret boss battle where you can fight all the shi’s at once. We see here what it’s like to fight a two bonded shi imagine fighting it when all four Shi’s are merged.
