You should make or partner with someone to make a wiring harness to use the additions on the gen 5 with the obs. Overall really great products and video explanations!
Im 14 and i got my first truck from a friend of my dads for free it doesnt run or anything but my dad said we would get it fixed and all i have to worry about is the inside. The inside of the truck smells terrible so i want to replace the seats to get rid of some smell and to make it look better im wondering if this set would work in a 1998 chevy s10
I just bought these seats and will be buying your brackets soon! Do y’all sell harness connections or have a link to someone that does for drivers electric seat?
The new rear seat video will be on how to add buckets and 2014-2018 DBL cab rear seat swap. The 2019+ rear seats wont work in OBS truck without a full custom fabrication. There is no frame work on the back cushion, so to install the back seat would require welded in supports. You can check with local shops in your area but it is a big job to recreate all the mounting points especially the ones that the head rest will lock into and wont be cheap. I had one customer cut the back wall off a 2020 crew cab and weld it on in 97 EXT Cab truck, that was probably a more efficient way to mount the seat than to fabricate everything by hand. Ill be showing some of this in the video and go over why the 2019+ rear wont work.
Would you sleep on a 30 year old bed? Newer seats are designed with ergonomics in mind to reduce back fatigue and better posture. Some of the newer trucks these seats come from cost $100k and I doubt any owners would pay that amount with old seat technology. Regardless of the condition, original OBS 30yr old broke down foam may seem cushy or comfortable until you actually ride in a new seat on a long road trip. Also from a hygienic standpoint, old seats are a bacteria breading ground.
@@OBSOutpost odd.... everyone who uses the "butt test" still thinks these OBS seats are more comfortable yes, newer seats are sportier and made with new tech. But new isn't always better i love the product... just can't believe someone ripped out good cloth seats. Probably the most sought after used part for a OBS truck
For single cab guys I just installed the jump seat and the nut plates aren’t sitting flush on the bottom ended up getting nuts, lock washers, and flat washers. Just a heads up on what i experienced.
LOVING my seat swap. Thank you again for doing these quality brackets.
I appreciate it. Thank you.
Congratulations, i’m eager to swap modern seats in my 2-door Tahoe 💪

Yeeesssss!! These look great!! On the hunt for a set of Gen 5s at a decent price now!!
Finally scored a set of Gen 5 seats today. I’ll be ordering my brackets soon!
I'm impressed. May eventually pick up a set of mounts for my GMT800.
I wish you did stuff like this for 99-06 with seatbelt relocation included.
Absolutely amazing work man, definitely be picking up a set
Great stuff, sir. Adding to my wish list.
Thank you.
I love these brackets Brother
Good job ‼️‼️‼️
Appreciate it!
I liie my original 98 seats. A little new foam and covers should do it for me.

its only 2 to 3 wires depending on which seat. Not really worth making a harness for 2-3 wires.
this looks killer
what about doing this in reverse? swapping older seats into the newer trucks? these newer seats SUCK for longer drives
What about making something for the squarebody from 73 up to 87? 🤔?
It is in the works
@OBSOutpost ,
"SAA-WEEEET!"
Now that's what I'm talking about! Cool, very cool.✌️😎👍Thank you!
@@OBSOutpostany further in the work on 73-87 square body ? Or at least know anyone who makes a quality product such as yourself?
Just sucks that the outpost kit cost more than the actual seats and center console
Do these only work with the manual seats? I was curious if I could swap power seats into mine and how I would get them to work

Maybe a Colorado not a silverado it’s going to be to wide

You find anything I’m doing the same
On a regular cab, do you lose any space?
Ðo you sell or would you sell the nut plates by themselves?
yes, they are on the website. Just specify on the note section if you want 10mm or 3/8" when you order obsoutpost.com/obs-store/ols/products/nut-plate
Dan who do I order these and will they work for a k1500
Dan I have power, what color wires do I need to power the seat? I don’t want to F around and find out the hard way by blowing the air bags in the seat
email me and I can send a diagram Dan@OBSOutpost.com
What rear seat would I use in my 4 door suv swap?
2nd row from SUV
Should this work on a 2000 sierra extended cab?
your truck is a GMT800 and uses differnt brackets, here si the link: obsoutpost.com/obs-store/ols/categories/2000-13-gmt800900
Would that be the same bracket used for a 99 obs 2 door Tahoe?
yes, all GMT400
Will there be a bench or it won’t fit?
GM no longer makes bench seats in trucks
@@OBSOutpost I see
What's the issue on the Gen 5 rears for an OBS crew cab? I have a vision for a new project haha
video coming next

what car do you have?
Will those work on a 86 c-10

okay.... but WHY would you want new seats VS good condition cloth powered seats???
The old seats are 10x more comfortable
