DeX needs more coverage. It's a far more useful tool than any of these AI things and yet it gets less coverage than any of them. Even if nothing is new with DeX in OneUI 7, it's still worth reminding folks what it is and what it can do.
You're right, DeX is an amazing aspect of Galaxy flagships. But yeah, Samsung hasn't significantly updated it for One UI 7 and it is not exclusive to the S25 series, so we didn't include it here.
@user-ew5vj1sl1u yes, because it is redundant to Microsoft Phone Link. Standalone DeX isn't going anywhere and it's a much better experience than DeX on PC.
So as I understand correctly, the take away from the Samsung event is, "... to make up for the lack of innovation lets just use "AI" on on every feature we speak about and THAT will wow the crowd to rush out and buy these"
They are exclusive right now. At the end of the video, I discuss how many (if not most) of these features will eventually come to other Galaxy phones. But, for the first few weeks/months, these will be exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series.
They are not exclusive to s25 ultra all those features are built in UI7.0 and it's coming to all compatible galaxy phones so stop misleading viewers just for clicks...
Every feature described here will be exclusive to the Galaxy S25 series until further notice. Some MIGHT come to older phones, but Samsung has not confirmed which ones, if any.
@@shirke01 u never clicked photos with spen , ohh what the grt miss. U would have love tht feature if u used it. My iphone frns jealous of this feature and i enjoyed 😂😂
Fun fact: this was originally in this video! We had to cut it though, because our review unit doesn't have the feature. We know that some review units have had the feature, but we couldn't find a working version in person at Unpacked. Because we couldn't use it ourselves (and thus, couldn't film it) we had to scrap it. Hopefully it makes its way to the device at some point soon!
I agree, you do NOT need to upgrade if you have an s22 or newer. Heck, you probably don't need to upgrade from an S20 lol. However, if you have the ability to upgrade and can afford it, some of the S25 ultra exclusive features are going to be decently helpful. I managed to trade in my S22 ultra and get $1,000 off, paying ~$400 to upgrade. I think at that price those exclusive features are worth it.
Hello Android users!!! A burnt out iPhone user here. started with iPhone 3GS currently on the iPhone 13 Pro Max. This year is the year I make switch! I'm torn between the S25 Plus and S25 Ultra what's yall's recommendations!
Honestly, there is no reason to buy the Galaxy S25 plus. If you like that form factor, just go with the Galaxy S24 plus and save hundreds of dollars. They are almost the same phone. If you're ready to spend the cash, the Galaxy S25 Ultra would be a good buy! But, once again, if you want to save some cash, the Galaxy S24 Ultra is so close that it might as well be the same.
@@AndroidAuthority Good to know, i would pick s25+, but unfortunately, only exynos one are available here. So i was thinking about s25, but I am still unsure. S24 ultra is kinda big, and s25+ seems to expensive. I don't like to pay that much.
The S25 Ultra has numerous upgrades over the S22 Ultra, including a better processor, several camera improvements, and a more comfortable design. However, you will lose Bluetooth support on your S Pen, so if you rely on any of those features, you might want to think about upgrading to an S24 Ultra instead (which will be cheaper now, anyway).
Wait for the S26U. By then Samsung will wake up and give the Ultra the 16GB RAM they should have put in the S25U but failed to do so. Your S22U will be very good for another year unless it does not do things that you need now.
@edgewalker6633 you can get s25 ultra with 16gb memory if you live in China. Why they didn't release that version to the rest of the world is beyond me.
@@lodg1e all the more reason to demonstrate to Samsung that no one likes being treated like they are a second class market citizen. Vote with your dollars and let Samsung know if they expect you to pay Ultra dollars then you expect Ultra features including 16GB RAM. Wait for the S26U.
Im not sure how but since yesterday my Galaxy S23 Ultra has the same Gemini interface as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, not sure about the functionality though.
We will give this more coverage once we have a clearer idea of how it works! Samsung is leaving it up to carriers to determine how best to put it to use. So yes, the hardware is there, but the service is still being figured out. More to come!
I beg to differ the new snapdragon and the personal data engine plays a role... do you think a ai that can read your life...is as secure on a s24 without the added hardware security of the s25... I think there is enough of a step above the previous... may be not upto public expectations but enough

No matter the device, these AI features will remain to be and feel half baked on our mobile devices. What needs to happen, and is a long way off, is the AI being able to access All aspects of the device. Not Bixby over here, Gemini over there. This is the same half baked garbage that is being presented in Apple Intelligence. No matter how seamless these manufacturers Think the hand off is in between these AI's it is still nowhere near it needs to be to actually be useful and accepted by the retail consumer. So instead of selling these devices and making AI such a focal point, they need to upgrade the hardware. Not just the Chipset. This is going to be a major thorn in the side of these manufacturers as Chinese companies like Oppo, Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor, all continue to push the boundaries of their devices and the US stagnants with Samsung and Apple devices leading sales in the US market. Years ago these would have been considered Software Enhancements now they are primary selling points of these devices. Sad state of affairs. Until these companies come up with some type of God-like software feature set, I believe, people will stop upgrading as often, and it will affect all cell phone companies bottom line going forward.
So what you're saying is when I buy an s25 I'll turn off Bixby like a normal person and just use Gemini because it's the best AI software in the world currently Also all features mentioned are already on pixel 9 series phones and have been for 6 months 😂😂😂
