This song illustrates one of the Bangles most, IMO, underappreciated strengths. Yes, Susanna became sort of the "face" of the Bangles later, but any one of them could lead a song and the others would provide perfect, harmonious backing vocals. Even though Debbie doesn't get to sing on this one, the lead going between the other three demonstrates it.
God did i have a crush on Vicki and her cute little red gogo dress with fishnets and clunky boots. Her energy running around with that giuitar - mad crush for her at 17. Shes still beautiful

OMFG. not a huge fan of this song but live in Pittsburgh is fantastic. Must be the Burgh. So much Aquanet on stage if you lit a match the arena would explode!
Wow, I cannot believe that this concert took place almost 30 years ago. I was a Bangles fan since their “Different Light” album came out. And I remember that the girls in my school class didn’t like the Bangles. They loved Depeche Mode and they were jealous that suddenly we boys had our own female Depeche Mode :-)) Too bad I never saw the Bangles live, cause - as we can see in these videos of Pittsburgh - they were rocking harder on stage than on record. Great performances! The managers and producers tried to make a pop group out of them - but they were a pure rock band!!!
Exactly. When you go under the surface you discover that "Eternal Flame" or "Manic Monday" kind of misrepresented the Bangles' sound. They were a guitar-based rock band!

If you prefer TODAYS GIRL singers (Justin beiber, Katy Perry, camilla cabello, one direction, drake, Rihanna, usher, that sort of thing) then go and listen to them. But don't click on a song/artist you don't like, put yourself through listening to their stuff you don't like, then compound your very public stupidity further, by making a twat of yourself in the comments section... that's just asking for ridicule. Still, my hopes weren't high.
You'd like Stonefield from Australia.
Time Mark 2:31 of the video is where you could fall in Love with Susanna Hoffs. That smile and those EYES!!! In 1986 there were 20 guys in the dorm lounge waiting for that moment in the video when she looked at you!!!!
O K MY T U R N
The most silly ass song I've heard in my life and yet I love it
Steve martin doing king tut comes to mind
Dude the fact that you call this song silly shows what generation your NOT. No one who was alive in the 80's would say that.
@@Malcontent- i agree
@@Malcontent- Agreed, its considred one of the best songs of all time, and in the top 10 best pop songs in history!
It definitely is silly, but so well done. I mean, after all what pop-rock music isn’t silly?
goosebumps. twice during this song/video. realizing i hated this song when this came out and my brother had it on endless repeats. guess he was right with this one ;-)
OMFG. not a huge fan of this song but live in Pittsburgh is fantastic. Must be the Burgh.
So much Aquanet on stage if you lit a match the arena would explode!
Que geniales las chicas...
Además de su talento... bellísimas mujeres, simpáticas, guapísimas...
Ellas me fascinan..!!!💕🇺🇾
vicki is truely badass wish i had a chance to se them live and up close and personal
There's one guy who just says "WOW" when he sees her guitaring it at the end
You just can not beat Bangles as a group for their voices.
Bold statement, but there were other bands from the 80's that harmonized well together. The Go-Go's come to mind immediately.
cant stop watchin it! i totally got a crush on michael! her smile is so cute!
Michael Steele's voice. awesome.
excelente banda lindas maravilhosas ótima musica perfeita saudades os anos 80 e 90 saudades BANGLES para sempre
These were some really Sexy 80's Ladies....My mom used to love them now I appreciate the Genius music they performed....🙏💃
I didn't know they could rock like this then! Awesome.
Who are The German Bangles? lol
Almost 40 years now. That's unreal. Where did the time go?
