      For sure. I love Aaron on the drums in the previous albums, but honestly, and surprising to me, the Tim and Daniel Davidson connection was so epic in that album i wish they kept Davidson. His fills and rolls that lead into the choruses and breakdowns were just so epic and filthy too. Hoping this next album is more like this mew bad ass song and less like Erase Me, which i was not really into. Except i loved their song “I give Up”.

  • @corybernazzoli82

    Erase Me was a good album but a disappointing Underoath album. This song was recorded DIY by the band in Tim’s studio and they sound pissed, like they forgot what being heavy felt like and that it was fun so hopefully it’s a return to form. It feels like Lost In The Sound mixed with Disambiguation

    • @corybernazzoli82
      @corybernazzoli82 3 года назад

      @@JohnDoe-mv2be I believe that was a different project. After they were posting and sharing the Voyuerism stuff with the cameras in the studio, apparently people in an Underoath fan page looked into it and that studio is in a church in Tampa and it’s Tim’s studio Spencer started sharing other stuff with just him. So idk if that’s a different solo project or possible new Sleepwave stuff or it could be UO but I’m pretty sure, like 90% that they did the album DIY and wanted it out sooner but then COVID hit

    I remember buying Disambiguation the day it came out after binging all their older records. It took me a solid 6-8 years to really appreciate it, but Damn Excuses just feels like a type of creative freedom I haven't felt in UO since the days of They're Only Chasing Safety. Clearly very different styles, but the creativity shines through exceptionally well.

    I only liked a couple songs from their only chasing safety album, and because of that never gave any of the other stuff a chance. I did find writing on the walls and thought that was good. Only recently did I listen to define the great line, and lost in the sound. It completely blew me away. I was mad at myself for not taking them seriously. They would have been a huge influence in my writing, and it wouldn’t sound like Chiodos had a baby with the early November and was sent to an all boys jazz music school.
