Friday the 13th - Jason Voorhees Coffee Table Project

- Hey guys,
My son wanted to make his bedroom "Horror Movie Themed". He found this Friday the 13th - Jason Voorhees Coffee Table build on the internet and we decided to give it a try. I had not planned on making a tutorial on how we made the table, although we did do some customization with LEDs and other tweaks. I wish I had taken more photos and video to document each step. However, I did take quite a few as we were progressing. If you have any questions about what you see and how we did it drop me a message and I will explain the process best I can.

What an awesome project . seeing this has given me some ideas as to other projects i can use this for making one . wish you had more videos your projects are very creative . wish you had a higher fan base . but ill send these projects to some of my friends to view and join your you tube web site .

This is a marvelous table!!! Trying create one of my own I wanted to know what did you guys use for Jason torso
Thank you for the compliment. We used an EVA foam to form the basic torso. It was easy to work with and shape.
This is great! Always wanted to do one of these the hardest part looks like all the details of the lake plants rocks and stuff what did you use for all that stuff where did you get all those materials craft store?
Actually, most of the materials were purchased from Amazon. The plastic plants, fish, rocks, etc. Can be found there. Otherwise, your local hobby shop like Michael's or Hobby Lobby would have them as well.
Love it ,Do you remember the measurements like depth of the inside?
I do not have that right off the top of my head, but will get it for you. It was a fun project!
Sorry it took a day or so, the measurements are 39 inches long, 31 inches wide, and 8 inches deep. There was not rhyme or reason behind these measurements. We used them based on where the table was going to go. I would make sure that the depth is at least 8 inches though, because once you put the top on it may take away from your depth. Good Luck.

@@Vincent_Serpico I just made one and my measurements are 2x4x19. I used 2x4 precut hobby plywood sheets and my depth was a foot. The height of my table was 19" which is right about the size of a coffee table. To form the torso, I used clear packing tape and taped my husband body for the form and used pillow stuffing to stuff the plastic form. Good Luck! these projects are super fun.

Would you ever consider making one if for example I would like to pay for it?? This is so awesome and I am not crafty, my Dad wouldve been able to but he passed away so im trying so hard to find someone who can make a table like this
I'm sorry that this response is so late, life gets busy as I'm sure you are aware. Also, I am sorry for your loss of your Dad. To answer your question, yes, I could make another. The original was for my son who you see in the video. He asked if we could make one for his room. He and I have wanted to make another and may be able to help you out. However, it takes a bit to make one an with the Holidays around the corner we would not be able to start until after. The other question is shipping, the table itself is not heavy, but not light in the same respect. What part of he country do you live in. I don't need an address just a state so I could give you an idea if we are close or not. So lets start there. Thanks!

Thank you so much for that , my Dad really loved to build so I know he wouldve loved that project alot . How much would you charge for the table itself and shipping we can do if you’re close enough! It doesnt have to be a big table since its going in my “gamer room” and I think I would like the wood painted black if possible! You are so awesome! 🥹😭

What did you use for the top? Glass?
We found a table with the same dimensions that had a glass top on a garage sale site, like Facebook market place, for around $20.00 and used the glass from it.

Sorry for the delayed response. We used a Styrofoam wig head applied air clay, sculpted the face, and then painted. The eye and teeth were purchased online. You can find a realistic eye and teeth props on Amazon. (Example: Ripped out eyeball movie quality prop for $14.99)
