DEFINITIVE. It’s cool that it’s “kinda” still only known to serious music fans. I did a little fun “test” run about 15 years ago. I’m “older now at 65. First, asked friends and colleagues about Butterfield Blues Band. Barely anyone knew who they even were, and many said things like “oh yeah, I think I’ve heard them”. So you know right there they will have no idea who Bloomfield and Bishop are/were. I rarely got to the third and 4th questions of “East/West” and “Blues on The Westside”. Think about it. Those 2 songs move me to tears or at the very least DEEP emotional condition. And the whole f’n music world barely even knows about this treasure. I kinda like that. Like it’s still “mine”.

Oh yes, only serious fans appreciate what they contributed to the music world and to my world too.

1220 into the photos Harvey Brooks appears -- Bloomfield really enjoyed Ravi Shankar at Monterey Pop festival

Can you believe Eric Clapton looked up to Mike Bloomfield? Horrible phrasing in my opinion couldn't get through the number listening
