We spent the 4th of July at Great America!!!

Happy 4th of July!!! Hope everyone had a safe and fun Independence Day!!! We spent the later half of the day at Great America. This was our first year actually going inside the park and staying until it was time to watch the fireworks show; we usually watch the fireworks in the Great America parking lot. It was to be expected that the park was crowded, so we knew that we were going to go to the waterpark before they closed so that the girls could enjoy the cool water but even 30 minutes before the waterpark closed, it was still pretty crowded. Then we went to Planet Snoopy so that the girls could ride some rides before waiting to watch the fireworks. 30 minutes before the fireworks show was supposed to start, we headed to the Redwood Amphitheater to find a seat and we were able to get a good spot! The girls loved the show, but did not like how loud they were. So it may be that next time we watch fireworks, it will be in our car.
