Hello, did you find these to be musical, can I use them for Hifi listening like the HD650 - lushness aside as you did mention that about the 650s, I have the HD600 - not for music but meditation and asmr and video listening and the 650's for music. Is the bass, soundstage, imagine better than the 650? thank you.
I wouldn't go too far and say they're musical cause they're not sweet-sounding. It's more that they don't sound sterile or dull like other studio headphones tend to be. Measurements-wise, these seem to go deeper in the bass than the HD600, 650 and yes they are a tad wider cause those two headphones have a more intimate presentation.
I actually have both right now. I'd give a very slight edge to the XS purely sound-wise but if taking into account everything (build, comfort, accessories), I'd pick the 490 Pro in a heartbeat

edition xs or hd 490, which is better in sound quality, as edition xs only is 260 dollars currently
