Nice work. I suspect a very happy nephew. And, great ideas for organization and security. I hope this young man cherishes this gift and remembers you for the rest of his life. I suspect this is the kind of gift that may well be passed through future generations.
Go for it! I never made real plan/dimensions for it. So I’d just recommend laying all you stuff out, so you can ensure it will fit. Good luck and thanks for watching. -Andy
I'm bored in quarantine and I have some left over pallets so I'm gonna remove the wooden planks and I'm gonna try if I can make this for my airsoft AR 15👌🏻
David Garcia I don’t have anything specific, but mention the dimensions in the video. . Just laid out all my components (rifle, eye pro, bbs, etc) and took a measurement. Pretty straight forward and a very good opportunity to “free style” a build to help confidence. Thanks for watching.
Nashoba, I no longer see the exact pair I purchased at Lowes... but that was also 4 years ago :) Here is the closest thing ive found: www.lowes.com/pd/National-Hardware-11-1-2-in-Zinc-Gate-Hinge/1000510823
Daddy O funny you should say that...I do want to build my own coffin one day. Getting the timing right might be challenging, so I’m not storing it for 10 years 🤣
It cost me 47 dollars to make a crate. With hardware. for shot gun shells a case. To drop in by the case . I made 3 ~ 1 for 410 a case. 1 for 20 ga. a case, 1 for 12 ga. a case > NO MORE ? COST TO MUCH TO MAKE THE WOODEN CRATES > That could have been another case of shot guns shell
@@chronicwoodwork5466 I guess bag them up and put them into 5 gal buckets LOTS CHEAPER > if the ammo is in boxes? put the plastic bag into the bucket and stack them into it and tie them up
Should have bought him a face shield as well, be from the looks of it that target is steel and for pellets only. With the new frangible bb's you can buy it might be fine, but they don't work in t he magnetic gravity feed of the current generation daisy lever guns.

Dude, you're like the best uncle alive.
siberwolf33 haha. Thank you! I would’ve settled for “ok Uncle”
Yea it is
If I had this as a kid, I'd be the happiest kid on the block :D Great project!
Ha! Thanks! I think he liked the BB gun more than the box but that’s ok!
awesome uncle and even cooler that you still answer questions after 3 years
I read them all. Thanks for watching.
This video popped up in my feed. This is awesome and he is one lucky kid. Nice job.

I like that stop block method.
It’s an advanced woodworking technique I learned in Fine Woodworking Magazine 😂
I’m sure he loves it and will never forget his awesome uncle 🇺🇸
Bruce M. I see him at least once a week haha. I won’t let him forget me
Coolest uncle ever ❤
Jury still out on that one.
Awesome
Thank you for sharing.
Have a wonderful one
Nice idea and nice box. You might put some foam on the top of the lid to keep things in place.
cool music good idea!
Nice job, I am sure he was excited. Looks like the canoe is coming along, nice you threw in the teaser.
John Angus ha! Just trying some new stuff. If the canoe makes a cameo, so be it Hana! Thanks for watching.
Very nice project and a great video. I was looking for an inspiration for a weapon crate and I think you nailed it. It looks awsome!
Casual DIY thank you very much- very nice of you to say. It’s a pretty simple build, but a lot of fun

Great video man. I intend to build a couple of boxes for my son`s airsoft guns and your work helped me a lot. Thanks.
Thanks for watching! Its very straight forward. Best of luck and please let me know of any questions
Well done.
Wilhelm's bane thank you. And thanks for watching.
Nice video. Sweet box. Got a question. Was curious what website and what kind of printer was that for the stencils. That was cool . Thanks
mvp cardinal it is a Cricut Air 2. Which is a vinyl cutter more so than a printer. The website is cricut’s own website/software.

Great project idea I'm curious as to what machine used to create the sticky template lettering and numbers?
Cricut or cricket . A vinyl cutting craft machjne.
Very nice job and the end result is great! You gave the length and width but not the height. What was it please. How high was the front/back/sides?
Sides were made from 1x8s, so 7.5” tall. A bit taller than than after you add the lid, base, and supports for each.
@@chronicwoodwork5466 thanks for the quick response. Take care
I've always wanted a bandsaw

@@chronicwoodwork5466 I tell you something brother...you will be the uncle every kid will remember for life....
What were the size boards that you had used for the box? I plan to make that but scaled up some for an airsoft gear box.
I believe these were all 1'X6"x8' pine boards. available at any big box store
happy building. thanks for watching.

What’s hinges did you use? I’m having trouble finding some.

Thank you.
Am I crazy or does anyone else expect the cloth covering the foam to be folded using hospital corners
Feelzbad CHAI that would have be an excellent. Missed opportunity for sure.
We are the plastic pallet and crate supplier in China : )
Ok
