I like the sign on the wall which says "SPEAK IN ENGLISH", but I have never seen a worse wig than Val's. It looks like a tea cosy.
I like how Clara kills all hostility with kindness like when monica tries to bully her and it's a kindness that ultimately wins even the hardest of people over. She becomes somewhat of a top dog through being nice and gentle.
Erica is pretty cold with Vera when she finds her tied up in her flat. Vera has been tied up for hours and is emotionality hearing her soul and being vulnerable about the only man who's shown her love, and Erica is basically like "Get over it." Lol

James Cannon I agree! Davo could be very sweet but she was quite cold with Vera. I know Vera irked her to no end but you'd think she would have been a little nicer considering the circumstances!

I’m having a problem too at this point. I should be working right now as I should have been all week, month etc just hours wasted except for more prisoner. I keep playing that one more episode I’ll go and yet I’m still here. If you found a way to pull back let me know. Or you could have had one fun 26 hour session and I’m putting my issues out there.

She is absolutely the nicest person you could meet in real,life. She is one of the most down to earth actresses you could ever meet. No airs and genuine,y cares for you. I spoke with her for such a long time and not once did she not have time for me; in fact, it was I who had to excuse myself in the end.

Elizabeth Frantes, some are wigs very stiff and harsh but their natural hair you can always tell it's their own. Guess if rushed they did need the wigs. The styles are not very modern even for the 80's longer hair was in then.

I have seen the first three episodes of Wentworth. When I first heard they were making it and using the same character names I was sceptical thinking the producers were just exploiting fan loyalty of Prisoner. Wentworth is actually very respectful to Prisoner, it has the same spirit. It reimagines alot of the story lines and characters of Prisoners. It mixes humour and drama in the same way and is definately Aussie to the core. Well worth a watch.
I’m here because I finished Wentworth and I missed it so much I decided to check out the original. It’s been so fun. It’s especially interesting to me to see how they blend characters and switch around story lines.

What Noeline says to Karen at the end there does make some kind of sense. When you're at the bottom of the heap, untrained, uneducated, inbred, just how do you make ends meet? So prison becomes an occupational hazard. Noeline's concern isn't for her own sorry skin - it's for her siblings and how they'll cope without her.
It's very typical of the differences between middle class and working class values. Noeline prioritises the family/community. Karen prioritises individualism and self advancement
