What a fantastic series you are doing here Steve. This is just incredible that you were preserving this history by making these videos. The S1 & T1 are beautiful looking locomotives!😊 ❤️👍🚂😊💯👏
Last time you made one of these (I think) I told you that you were quite, this is much improved as you are loud enough to be heard and understood clearly but also not blow your eardrums out loud
The S1 may have been a huge failure, literally, but it's so beautiful looking that it is still loved and well remembered despite its short career. It is definitely a well-loved experimental failure
It was not that big of a failure. Reports state that crews actually liked it and it performed quite well. Believe it or not the PRR did consider preserving it, but the attempt failed and it was scrapped.
Hello @TheSudrianTerrier653. Part 5 will focus on the 6 coupled articulateds and Part 6 the eight coupled. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching!!

The PRR class S1 is such a gorgeous locomotive
Hi Willsen. I agree. Ray Lowey really out did himself with the S1. Thanks for watching!!
Correction:
The PRR Coast-to-Coast tender has 2 4-axle trucks.
I love Duplexes. The PRR S1 6100 is my second favorite steam locomotive of all.
Great video!!!!
Thank You!! Thanks for watching!!

Hi DatGuy Miller. Thanks for the feedback, brother!! I'm glad you enjoyed it!!
It should be noted that the PRR t1 is being revived in a newbuild numbered 5550.
Hi Connor Flaherty. You're right. I should have given it a mention, but I felt number 5550 deserves it's own video. Thanks for watching!!

It's coming!! Things have been a little crazy lately. Thanks for watching!!
4-6-4-4 are Q1 and Q2s
No, the Q1 was a 4-6-4-4, the Q2's had the drivers reversed to be 4-4-6-4
@@zachary_plant_01 I was pointing this out
France and Britain had duplex locomotives of there own design but there nothing like American duplex locomotives.
