I kneeboarded BR BITD. Great wave when it's on. Looked a little overwhelmed with swell at times on this day. Maybe the swell direction wasn't great? Anyway, I'm saying all this from Philadelphia. Great video!
Why are all of them going all the way down the wave on a fast barrel section. Would you not want to pull under the lip in the beginning so you can exit right before it pinches? Because if you do a steep bottom turn on a wave like that the section is more likely to break right next to you causing you to miss the barrel entirely but also causes you to have to react fast for the pinch at the end. Also I know on bigger waves its better to go all the way down but these waves don't look to big and some of them have a mellow start. Idk if its just me but ya. But either way the waves look really amazing
You kids today don't know how good you got it with your boats and jet skis. Back in the 70s, we jumped off of Point Loma and paddled the 100 miles to Cortes. And why are you all on my lawn? 😁

@@stevecucamonga The beginning looked like really big rock but later on it looks more like shoe to me, since the drops are usually mellower and it clamps more than rock does I think. Usually on a NW swell Shoes is mostly a left, it gets shallower and sketchier and weird on the right.
Hey groms, remember, you never know whether or not you're gonna make it if you don't pull in.
🤙
On a sup it takes balls, and I totally agree from grom to gramps lol
@@medievalknievel these are SUP spots whenthere is ZERO swell.
I think this is mis-named. Should be "pitched, pinched and going straight in SD"
Haha
I agree, Blacks is way heavier on smaller days than this. Better barrels as well.
looks like Wind n sea la jolla
Pinched but not arrested! lol. All the best!
It's called click bait works Better than 🦐
What a season you're having!!

Nice!, similar waves to Irish reef breaks!
Except you only need one wetsuit instead of two

You would love Rex Huffman, legendary, at this spot. Joe Roper is another example. Peace, olskool. Peace
Ahhhh yes 50% of the video is empty barrels and the other 50% is guys trying to come out😂
I know! That's what makes surfing what it is. Chasing the dream

What wave is this?
Where exactly in San Diego is this spot? I lived in Ja Jolla 40 years ago and surfed there every day, but I can't recognize this spot!
Scripps early winter

Mostly shot in December. Need to confirm specific dates.

Think we need to send over some Irish boys to teach you guys how to charge when it's over 4ft.
Lets run it. I'd like to visit Ireland. Those are my roots. 🇮🇪
You call that heavy?
Need to hook up with Dante Silva and show him around! Shoots🤙🏽! Nice channel!!!
Lets make it happen!

because you lose a lot of speed if you do that and the shape of the barrel won't let you pump inside because it's very square
When do the heavy barrels show up? Where is this N. Carolina??
Where's this?
Scripps 🔥🔥
Scripps all time a few months back. Early winter.
Big rock almost for sure

Little north shutting down the barrel more south west open it up .# EL pinche 😒
Is this what the Rock looks like on a real high tide? Lots of pinching going on.
Gorgeous pinch🤙

Is that like bird rock or horseshoes
Many tried, all have died.
Horseshoes? Or the rock? I live by the rock, can't believe I missed this. Looks tough though
This wave is further up north. Super rare only breaks like this once every few years.
My guess is the rock because dont people go right at horseshoes sometimes?

Never be able to wrap my head around the idea of waking up one day and deciding youre going to become a sponger
When you're in your 70's and your knees are so shot you can't jump up to a stance anymore. Then it's great cause the waves are now way overhead.
