This is one of my first modeling apps. I have used a lot of line6 software products and I think line 6 has one of the best offerings for budget virtual amps and guitar effects. So after using the pod farm for several years and the line six gearport, I found myself enjoying this flextone amplifier. it was as easy to navigate as the software there was also the line 6 editor that makes it easy to tweak the settings from your computer which was my preferred method of configuration. The Clean Tones are good, the distortions needed a little bit of tweaking to make them sound less digital. You can snag these amps on the second hand market and use them as a clean amplifier with analog effects in front which would make it sound the best.

Hey man cool video. I've had the 2x12 version of this amp for about 6 years. Still sounds good for the relative cost of the amp. Sure the model firmware is now 16+ years old and newer modelers are probably better in terms of tonal accuracy, but bang for the buck these are cool amps that offer a lot of flexibility. Midi controllable and patches that can be modded on the computer or downloaded to the amp add to the flexibility. And enough juice to play with a band and cut through.

Nice demo. Good range of styles played... and fully fully agree on the flextone iii ... decently featured amp with enough effects and grunt... sweet sweet sound about as good as you’ll get till you go with tubes.
And it looks more than half decent.

I have this flextone 3 and for me it is not practice amp. It has everything you need for an amp and its surely loud amp

I'm also playing a PRS Tremonti into this amp. I had the Flextone 2 and just got the three pre-used for a hundred quid, including the stomp board. I love the tone but haven't really explored it yet.
100 quid is a steal! These amps are great and have a lot of usable tones. That Tremonti is a great guitar too!
@@DavidsMusicChannel I got the Tremonti for 200 So this setup has cost me in total 300 quid. My best effort so far!

@@DavidsMusicChannel Tremontis in the UK go for 300 upwards. i would have paid the 300, but I am the early bird. I just put together a fine Strat for about 120. its a hobby, I'm no performer.
@@smkh2890 i thought you had both? yeah gear wont make you better, one guitar can do it all. having many guitars is basically an excuse for playing less. lol also it's a different kinda thrill.
I keep meaning to update mine to a newer practice amp modeller but none of them are any better that I can hear.
The VOX VT range were better but I haven't tried the Katana yet.

Ruben Jimenez maybe for an acoustic gig where you have to play lead / solos. The drums usually will drown these tiny amps for sure

If you are playing with gain or just clean these amps are pretty dam loud and strong. I have 2 of these 2×12 combo amps. Haven't gigged with either yet but a 10 EQ ban MXR pedal boosts the volume considerably. I know this is an 8 month old comment but they are pretty dam strong amps
Yeah its 100w you can crank these pretty high
