Hey Rin! This is just an idea, or some kind of challange, I honesty dont know, BUUUUUT I have done i three times and love it. So what you do is simply filling one sketch book with "Your universe". Like, every page of the sketchbook shows something new about your universe (or planet). For example, how the planet looks like in general, what is nature like, the "aliens" that live there and so on. You can basicly draw whatever you want, it just is centered in that universe. That was a long coment, but please like so Rin kan see it, if you think it had been fun to see her do it!

Pressing really hard with pencils is called burnishing, and yes, you do do it for max pigment and is used with a white pencil to seal in colors and blend sometines!

Yep! And it always stays below the coloured tip which is really nice. I love my Staedtler pencil crayons. I have the set of erasable ones and have found that they do erase really well as long as you aren't too heavy handed. So great for mess ups early on in the colouring in process (I do adult colouring books, am not an artist).
When mixing brown, add the oppsitie colour! So if it's too yellow, add some purple to get an inbetween tone. Hope that helps later on, colour theory will help you get those werid colours. Lots of love! Xx
Watercolour pencils were my first and most beloved art supply (except the HoLy pEnCil) as a kid from around the age of 6. And although I *Maybe Kinda On Purpose* activated them with saliva, at least it was art! 😅
I really love when you do anything with water color. Iv loved watercolor painting for a long time, but im only recently learning how to apply it as a coloring medium for my traditonal pencil drawings. Watching you experiment with paint helps me learn along with you!

you practice a lot then! The more you practice, the better you get in certain stuff plus i bet your art isn’t that bad! Don’t give up and don’t put yourself down. You got this! Stay positive and keep on drawing. You’ll get there. Even sketches you don’t like, it’s practice. Don’t compare yourself to other artists, you can learn stuff from their art but yours is unique in it’s own way!

Omg I'm so glad that those pencils came in that box!! They are really similar to my prismacolor pencils, and to get good pigment, you have to use layer very lightly to get good pigment and shading. The lead is very soft and easy to blend out as well with the right materials! Just thought I would let you know! I love your channel and the drawing btw!!

Late to the party, but the white stuff around the pencil lead is a lead protector called the ABS (anti-break-system). I've never seen it on a pencil not produced by Staedtler. which makes me think they might've patented it. Personally I LOVE using colored pencil as lineart for watercolor. Even if you put down liner before coloring, you can use pencils later to trace the lines. Works just fine with black, and even better with colored lines! I mainly draw in ATC/ACEO format, so yeah, sharpening your pencils often is a must.
It looks so pretty! I love this style, pencil as lineart over watercolors, it looks so soft and dreamy. The piece turned out great, and the video cheered me up. I'll go draw something now.
