Asus is on full damage control right now.. But nope, no amount of PR will give back trust to consumers.. Only time and action will tell.. Because their track record is not good..
Wait what did Asus like exactly do to loose the customers trust?
@@prahaladlohandan1835gamers nexus recently did an expose on them scamming customers with warranty claims
@@prahaladlohandan1835AFAIK Asus has abysmal RMA and warranty support in North America specifically (no idea about other countries, possibly other places too), lots of stories repairs going wrong, people spending money they shouldn't have and lots of issues with faulty products like ROG Ally killing SD cards
@@RiveTheRatThe only time I have seen Asus support in action was when a friend's laptop began having some really weird battery issues right by the end of the warranty period.
He took it to the store, the store shipped it to the US, then a couple of weeks later he had the laptop back and it worked properly. No charge.
Not discounting the issues that other people are facing, just saying that the only close to personal experience I've had has been positive.
I just want a working battery man
They took it "seriously" last year too
😊❤
I don’t mind you being partnered by ASUS but I hope you reconsider dropping them soon. More creators dropping ASUS will be a wake up call for them.
why?
@@Jay-qs6jkAsus sucks. Good luck returning much of anything that is Asus without them causing more damage 😂
@@Steve.._.in Europe it’s great
That RMA issue of Asus came in the worst time almost a month before CompuTex. When companies release new stuff and reminds all of us again of the issue and how bad Asus is.
If ASUS warranty scam was a "major issue" that they "took seriously" , they would have fixed it the first time. After several years and repeated promises people are still getting scammed. This is outrageous and unbelievable.
agreed
Forget ASUS. They are off my approved vendor list. I’m not interested in this video because I’ll never buy their shit again. You would do well to dissolve your partnership with them.
“You would do well” is the funniest threat 😂but yeah if they dint fix the rma then i agree
100% agree. ASUS burned my trust too.
Ok big guy I'm sure Austin will jump right on that for you 🤡
Asus lost my trust
They were taking it seriously a year ago, or so they said. How many times are the consumers supposed to accept this behavior.
Asus scammed me out of a motherboard rma simply because a rgb led fell off the edge of the board. They say they are changing things, well they said the same thing last year when they got busted. Screw them, never trusting them again. You need to end your partnership with asus.
I argee end the partnership with Asus. It will be worthwhile
Damn Austin with facial hair, wasn't expecting that🤣
yes please stop austin
"facial hair" is almost as bold as an Asus video right now.
🤣🤣
It's a major issue because it got some bad press on RUclips. Unfortunately, the thousands of customer complaints meant nothing until it happened to a single RUclipsr with some influence. All of a sudden it's "serious". Give me a break. I will never buy an ASSus.
Absolutely, this ten thousand per cent, this has been an issue for years, they were prosecuted in multiple countries for it , countless articles written, but one guy changed the world… give over, company had whats coming to them
Yeah I think your contacts are just saying things to keep you happy austin as they haven't even said that to their customers themselves.
Even linus reached out during ally x review, with a fat nope, meaning they didn't want to comment.
If there's more Asus stuff coming it's gonna be a bumpy road for the channel 😅
The fact that notice of "changes are happening" is coming thru a brand partner through info from the grapevine and not from the brand itself goes to show where Asus really is at currently.
ASUS WILL not do anything. But who knows.
Right now ASUS and gigabyte are off my list
It’s 4:16 am in the morning
Nope it isn’t
@@CricketEngland not for you you have a different time zone
No it's 10:25 am
@@Connie_TinuityError okay then
Nah its 10:28am
Ya, this week isn't going to be good for the channel if it's all ASUS.
Their customer support is shit. You buy this and you’re stuck with it
Ya I'm never buying anything from Asus ever again. Lol
Soldered RAM on their latest G14 and G15 models the last 2 years was the icing on the "Fuck Asus" cake.
ASUS is taking it seriously my as* just because they are a sponsor does not mean you go out of your way to waddle for them they released 2 public statements first one blamed the customers and called the situation a misunderstanding and the 2nd statement was an attempt to massage the first one with flowery words at least Linus said he won't recommend an ASUS product until they get their sh*t together. I am pretty sure all that ASUS would do is weather the storm while they do little to nothing while they wait for people's short memories to kick in.
Are we really going to pretend Asus doesn't have an RMA issue?
The ASUS scam is ongoing... after several years people are still getting scammed. If this guy cared about his viewers, he would have dropped the hammer, like Steve at Gamer's Nexus. Instead he is basically apologizing for ASUS and repeating their empty promises. This channel can't be trusted... corporate shilling never works to your benefit.
Unfortunately if you dent even a microscopic one on that laptop, your warranty will be voided.
ASUS is a business partner of ours. I hope they make the necessary changes needed to improve consumer confidence. This might not end the way they want it to if they don't act in a reasonable manner.
As much as I love everyone on the channel the review felt a bit forced and lacked the feel of a Guniune review Not impressed at the price point of the actual product... I think that the partnership kinda took over this review, I still love you all Guys
So two Ryzen AI processors. A Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 and Ryzen AI 9 365 both clocked at 2Ghz boosting to 5 and 5.1 Ghz respectively. The HX 370 has 12 cores and 24 threads with 16 Graphics core count (Radeon 890M) at 28W TDP while the 365 has 10 cores and 20 threads with 12 graphics core count (Radeon 880M) at 28W TDP
looks very pretty
with every thin laptop for me the most important thing is the keyboard
ASUS in a lot of heat at Computex...
Oooooh no the mustache is back 😅. Ken! Matt! Time for another mystery tech shaving session
1:04 "That's not great." Kinda downplaying being ripped off aren't you?
just don't accidentally leave a little stain on it..
Guys, what happened with ASUS? im reading these comments, and im so confused why everyone is hating on them?
Hopefully Asus redeems itself from this. It's a good sign that they take this seriously. It's gonna end in a win-win situation for all.
Switched from Asus to Lenovo last year and everything has been great. Glad I don't have to deal with Asus anymore and limited performance, driver issues etc.
Had bios booting problem and Lenovo support forum was able to fix it within 15mins with steps tailored to my spesific model.
Lenovo is pretty cool! but damn... they made they handheld too big, and with terrible speakers :( I'm glad your happy with Lenovo :)) I'll stick with Asus for the time being. Didn't have issues yet. It's been.... 4 years. Tho here in Brazil we have our own Asus brazilian support in sao paulo. Guess they do a good job coz I never heard complains.
I’m glad you addressed the issue of warranty and support, good job. Some have skimmed over this
lol at the americans who think its morning.
After sales should be part of the review
How about we not talk about asus at all until they stop trying to screw over their customers?
This shouldn’t of happened in the first place charging customers more then the original product is absurd
Design and engineer team do a great job and then ruined by the aftersales /warranty dept 😂
Austin: Asus have proven multiple times they are garbage…..especially their customer service But they told me “UWU WE SOWWY” so I’m gladly taking their money to promote their stuff.
Vacation Austin goes HARD
Austin the beginning part was so cute you should do that more instead of memes and dumb humor
Austin, it's 2:30 in the morning, can we talk about this in the later morning? This isn't an emergency.
A 5am EST upload...ok Austin we see you
this is the craziest thing i saw today autin with a beard
LOVE UR CONTENT 🐺🐺
Who’s deaf
I feel bad for the engineering team, they’ve done a good job but the company’s getting cancelled hard
"Let's make another ad for RUclips".
Literally what it is at this point. Austin is running a business, it's not a review channel, not anymore at least.
They all eventually end up doing this.
That's a really nice laptop. Probably pretty expensive too.
What an absolutely massive risk lol. Make sure you wear gloves when you handle it or you might be out $2k if you need to warranty it
it's a new laptop apu with 16cu rdna3 instead of 12cus for the new ryzen 9 soc. so it's even more capable for AAA gaming without a dedicated gpu so imagine the gaming at 45w without a dedicated gpu.
lmfao Linus shaved his beard and Austin is getting his.
I want to see Austin with a full stash 😹😹😹
Nice it has vapor chamber and and pen support!
Austin with a beard reminds me of my 15yr old trying to grow in his pre puberty mustache.
I stopped buying Asus when my tablet had a broken camera and after sending it in twice it wasn't fixed and the screen wasn't''t reinstalled properly.
Any feedback on the touchpad and palm rejection? I just hope the size of it is not problematic like on the 16 inch GB4P
If it was THAT big of a deal for Asus, they wouldn't be trying to rip off their customers, tens of hundreds, if not more customers, and only tried to PR when they got called out by a major influencer.
Remember, never buy from Asus.
Austin, you've got some dirt on your face. 😂
I use Linux on my laptops, and having an AMD iGPU is just perfect for Linux. I purposely avoid Nvidia dGPU laptops for this reason. This laptop checks all my boxes. Nice big 16:10 display for programming and a good bit of vertical resolution, nice OLED screen, large battery. Capable iGPU which lets you run games at fairly low power. A light weight computer with a powerful AMD Strix 12 core CPU for getting stuff done. Perfect balance of features for a developer on the go imo. Hopefully llama.cpp comes out with a version which supports that NPU, and I can even run local LLMs quantised to block16 without killing the battery.
Hiiii austin why post so late?
What are those colored boxes in the intro? Vendor stalls?
That cooler looks really similar to what’s in my GU605MI (Zephyrus G16 185H/4070). I’m sure it can sustain that 28 watts.
Un-upgradeable RAM is a joke though. If I want no upgrade path, I’ll get a Mac.
the soldim ram it's been going on on many laptops unfortunately... at least they still let use switch the storage :). If it's already 16... man it would be more than enough. I've been rocking a g15 ryzen 9 5000 rtx 2070 with upgradable Ram and storage, but... I never felt the need to switch to 45ram. I can, but... I understand why they keep it on 16gb for starters. still, This model it's not a gaming laptop. bet the gaming models are still very swappable.
hi sir @austin, how long do you think the battery would last compared to intel Ultra9 va SnapdragonX elite laptops?
12c/24t Ryzen 9 processor with 248mmb L3 cache and at 2.6ghz. you're welcome
Partnering with a shitty company is extremely suspect
Asux has lost all credibility after they got caught with their pants down last year and are STILL sticking their nethers into the cookie jar.
So im still early in to viewing tbis vid... so did parts lie, or did ASUS lie, or did Austin just gush over a worthless laptop?
You know the answer
It was a useless laptop that ran like a dead dog drug over a corpse.
Why have we not moved on from 40 series?
The track pad is literally a copy of the Huawei ones
Sorry but Asus as a company is simply toxic regardless of products I wouldn't touch them with a barge poll.
I've lost a lot of respect for Asus due to going through 3 $1800 Asus rog gaming laptops and it was due to their poor ventilation for the heat. Talkin about a 144ghtz refresh rate screen and gtx3060 All this was in a week... Never again
They copied half of Huawei’s features.
while me here have 3 asus phones, and one laptop G15, and now the ally. Never had a single issue with Asus... mind you I live in Brazil. I actually left Razer for Asus, coz Razer was broken in everyway I used them. 3 different gens. But I understand the asus Situation... will I stop buying from them? nope I won't. But I want them to have better products, and RMA of course.
Asus has finally become the joke pc company of the entire community, glad all of their shortcomings have come to light
Last Asus laptop I owned lasted 6 years, 4 of which it was used outdoors in temps from 17F to 116F, was dropped multiple times, and performed decently for a $779 budget gaming laptop. It's also the last ASUS product I'll ever own. O went MSI years ago because of ASUS shenanigans, and they've gotten worse.
I wish every RUclips creator would fully sever ties with them. Permanently. The RMA issues are bad enough. Anything else is just icing on the shit cake.
no more Asus products for me, thanks. I own a GPU, a motherboard and a laptop but my new ones will for sure not be from Asus.
Same here
7:03 wait a minute, AMD? don't you mean ASUS, the company who designed and build that machine(apart from the processor, obviously).
listen to it closely
did they force you to not mention apple?
wow they just made... the MacBook Air?
does the screen go 180 degrees?
If the white variant comes to Scandinavia, I'd buy this day one, but since they dont release their zephyrus series in white, i just doubt they'll release this one in white either 😒
Vacation Austin is trying to grow facial hair again i see.
the only asus laptop i have had a dead battery after 3 years 💀💀😭
mine stop working after less than 6 months
Mine is working for almost 8 years now without any issues but that was before they became this pile of corporate greed.
@@akosboth2070 The laptop was real nice but I cba to use it while its always plugged in.. atp I just got a PC setup LOL
Yessss, the facial hair is back. Keep growing it out it looked good last time.
i wonder how the hinges are on that laptop?
why didnt you run warzone on it coz after doin some work i wanna see if i can play some warzone
Love your videos bro
I thought the hat at the start of the video had Dominos pizza logo 💀
This is the closest thing that we can get from "hey guys this is austin "
Is this good for a school / college laptop?
this laptop can game, but... for the fact that it doesn't have a RTX on it, means the battery life it's good. so I would say yeah it is! it will last you a while. I bought my G15 1 year ago, and still going strong. tho... it has a RTX on it. but I got a solid 5 hours with the silent mode.
This laptop will break and ASUS will not fix it.
If you want something relatabilie for school college then stick with the Dells
@@AnonymousUser-ww6ns really Dells? Have they gotten better over the years, they have always had a bad reputation for me.
Let them know that actions are louder than words
To be fair...uh, you're getting paid by them so gonna take what you say with a grain of salt when it comes to them "making improvements." They've claimed this before.
Battery life and how much power
Gonna expand on that new ryzen thing...?
Let's Not Talk About This New Asus Laptop and run away.
Where did you go?
Wow. Tone deaf video drop. Shilling for a company that has purposefully treated customers poorly is just wrong. They can say they’re taking it serious but let them put action to words before promoting their products. But I guess if they pay, it’s no big deal right? 🙄
Next build is going to start with ASRock. After some research, they don't have a lot of bad press or bad reviews. I only own two Asus products running now. My Ryujin III 360(non argb) and an X570-I. Luckily nothing is wrong with them. normally I would say that people are blowing Asus repairs out of proportion as I've never had issues with them. But then they screwed over a major RUclips tech guru. if they have 0 f's to give towards y'all, then they definitely give -0 f's towards us.
It has nothing to do with a single youtuber and EVERY to do with the tens of millions of individuals they screwed, and were ALREADY prosecuted globally for it previously
@@samwalker8893 Totally. If they do this to youtubers you know it's 10x worse in the real world.
Asrock or MSI would be my go to
It's 11am here in Austria
Who asked or cares?
@@Austin_159 your mum
@@Austin_159 it's true your mom told me too, were running a train on her so we both needed the time before your dad comes home.
I mean it's a very nice looking laptop, personally though i dont care if my laptop is 11mm or 14mm or even 17mm, so ultra thin has never been a selling point to me.. However I am excited for the new AMD laptop cpus so plenty more interesting laptops to come :) And now when Qualcomm is entering the market with the Snapdragon I think next couple of years at least are gonna be exciting in the laptop space
I wanted to buy another Asus laptop, but I don't know about that now. And Austin with facial hair?!? 🤔🤔🤔🤣
Asus is not partnering with Austin again after this one 💀.
