Hey guys, welcome back to another lesson. Today I am going to show you how to play a slow blues on the acoustic guitar.
You will learn how to play a Blues in E using the fingerpicking technique, melody, and blues chords that are so characteristic of this music style.
The Blues is a simple style full of emotions, expression, hearth, and soul. African Americans created it in the early 20th century and quickly became one of the most important influences of popular music.
I am not a blues player, but I love this music so I hope I can inspire you to play more of this beautiful style.
    Enjoy this lesson.

    🎸FAQs:
    Are you a full-time RUclipsr?
Yes, I am on RUclips as Marco Cirillo, and I promote my videos on my website BlitzGuitar.com. All the courses I post online are available on my Patreon page bit.ly/2rMAPYG
How long have you been playing guitar for?
I started playing guitar when I was 10 years old, so it has been more than 20 years. I have always loved fingerpicking guitar, so this is why all my tutorials focus on this topic.
    Why are you on Patreon?
Patreon is great! It allows creators to make money doing what they love. On Patreon, I can share my guitar lessons with my Patrons and get paid for it. As a creator, I feel like Patreon really made a massive difference in the way I share my content :)
    Do you do concerts?
I used to do a lot of gigs in the past. London is a great place to play music almost every day. When my RUclips channel started to grow, I decided to go all in and try to help as many people as possible learning guitar. This goal takes all the time I have available, so I am not doing any gig or concert atm.

Exactly. He's demonstrating absolutely straight 12-bar blues. It's called 12-bar because in 4/4 time it takes 12 measures to complete the cycle. (I play piano and sax. I'm finally learning the guitar.)

      @@joycesanders4898 Everything is relative. Lol.
For example, when I first started, I tried Justin's play-along lesson on John Denver's hit Country Roads. It was impossible. I "knew" the chords but it took me 3 or 4 seconds to get my fingers in the right spots for each chord. Hopeless.
Three months later, I came upon the video again and played along with it straight-off.
I practice a minimum of 15 minutes a day or longer, every single day without fail.

You really do teach and record in a way that works beautifully. I've been playing for years but it's still worth it for me to be on your Patreon. I like that you don't clown around. Quite a few of the other guitar guys do, and for some that works, but it can wear thin after a while. With you it's just guitar, and it's great.

He has his guitar tuned down a whole tone (2 frets so his 'E' string is sounding like 'D'.) so his 'A' sounds like your 'G', To make matters worse, his tuning is a bit off so the sound won't sound exactly right if your guitar is well tuned.
To play the piece and get roughly the same pitch on a regularly tuned guitar: Am - Dm - C - G. Good luck.
