RIP Mohbad 💔
Anyone listening to this song in 2060, Promise oladimeji know as Mohbad was taken from us on the 12th of September 2023. You could hear his pain in the lyrics.
Check on your friends and family, make peace with ppu bcuz no one knows tomorrow, he was telling us a lot which we didn’t understand, we failed you.
RIP Imole, I know you are in a better place now.
You will always remain in our heart, we love you but God knows best.
We will miss you greatly 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️🕯️
RIP MOHBAD 🕊️💡💔💙
This made me tear up 🤎 Amen
Crazy
He's alive.
@@diamonddiamond2024 why you said that
'Reading my psalm'
'I'm so Biblical' 😢😭
RIP Imole 🕊🕊
It takes a lyrical genius to be making hit songs with one verse of few lines. Mohbad did it consistently. Great guy!
He is playing on words in Yoruba! He is very brilliant!!
I think he said " reading my psalm I'm so biblical" love your translation dear. You are making me love yuroba language. Much love from Cameroon. Emi mimo ti cover you.
Oh okay thanks for sharing. Lol amennnn thank you 🤎
Heard biblical too but with translation atleast am understanding most of mohbads songs
I think it is Rythm and sound, I am so vibeblical
Imagine that line he said..... people have car, but don't wanna use it rather they will hop on other people's bike and use it until it damages. They wanna tear his knicker which is his life/ career and still be his teacher on how to live his life.😢
Even his babe left him for those with big money and he was left in heartbroken and depression with cigarette smoking leading to his juvenile hypertension.😢😢
Justice for IMOLEMOHBAD😭😭
JusticeforMohbad
Very very very good Job my dear sister.. Kakiri lodo Awon Aboki he meant smoking from one Aboki Store/shop to another. Like in Lagos, people who usually smoke cigarettes, go to the housa man’s store, smoke and leave randomly instead of buying a whole pack. This is common among the young cigarettes smokers because they don’t want their parents to know, or adults who can’t afford whole park, meanwhile some are depressed and heartbroken.. not the aboki hawking around but those with stores and shops.. So he said his wife left him doing that… like my wife is good ? You left me and I was smoking from one aboki store to the other ( of course depressed)
I love the way you dance to the song while translating. Mohbad was a real artist, so sad it came from a world of sorrows.
Thank you very much, only now i realise how deep his lyrics are,I am a south african and personally I feel robbed because only after his death i got to know him and he was amazing ,gone too soon may his soul rest in ,but I mostly touched by how he was buried,i just wish after the investigation they can just exhume His body and re bury him properly ,give him a funeral he deserves
Thanks for sharing and yes RIP 💔
Me too I got to know him now ❤
His body as been exhumed. He will be given a befitting burial
His body has been exhumed for autopsy.😢 Investigations are going on. I just hope they play fair
@@MaxiMillian777That Is Nigeria Where The Rich, And TOP Officials Don't Cry . Mohbad Parent Are Too Quite.
I never saw him on the TV or on the internet, but these particular lyrics have always been played a couple of times some times when I drive and it is such a painful experience to lose somebody like you even at this time. Now the justice of God has been served though its painful but the evil perpetrators are in permanent silence now. Even at death, Mohbad is still speaking. RIP MOHBAD.
💔💔
Im from Jamaica 🇯🇲and thanks to you im learning the songs better saying the words learning them thank you
His death is really sad honestly at the young age of 27 especially. Honestly the song really shows how he just wanted to make his music and have peace. Great video as always Simbihawt.
Veryyy sad
His songs comes with so much meaning if you listen to it carefully you will understand it better what he was trying to say when he was alive mohbad suffer so many things before his death but he pass the message for people to learn what this wicked life is all about
I didn't know Mohbad was dealing with all these things in his life, he seemed like a cool guy, very strong emotionally and mentally. He never gave up, despite the things he was going through, he had peace in his heart and that's what matters. Peace in your life, I didn't know him but your translation video helped me to understand his life and thank you for making this video.
Very very sad situation 🤎 I’m happy to help
R.I.P MohBad 🙏🏿💔
🤎
“Reading my Psalms, i am so biblical”, not “vibelical”
You did amazing.
Okay I was going back and forth on these two. On the music video I thought I saw him form his mouth with a “v” I can be wrong
Thank you for this translation. It helps me have an idea of the kind of person he was. I never knew him before now. #Justice forMohbad#
You’re welcome 🤎
Simbihawt, the line "Ijebu lo le ewe soo" is a greeting by the Ijebus. So he is saying Ewe Soo (Greeting) is owned by the Ijebus. Weldone for your effort
Hi thank you 🙂I believe I mentioned that thanks for agreeing
Thank you for this initiative... We will keep missing this guy and be pained the more we keep hearing these sounds. Rip to Mohbad😢
Iyawo mi so da to romi pin ofimi sile mo wa fa cigar (My wife is it good that you left me because you thought nothing good can come out of me? I'm smoking cigar, to get the thoughts out of my head or to overcome the weight)

🇯🇲 Here, you always do a fantastic job with your translations. I am so happy that you did this one because Mohbad was my favourite artiste and this was one of my favourite songs from him. RIP Imole ❤ 🕊 😢. Much love from 🇯🇲 to 🇳🇬

Hmmmm I now understand God bless you well done
Thanks so much for the deep insight, but there is a correction I would like to humbly make and that is when he said the lady wrote him off and did not believe in him. So that was the reason why he was wandering and going from one Hausa cigarette seller to another. He wasn't anyway, talking about settlement but his own experience of rejection.
You are the best at explaining our weird slang as many non Nigerian fans want to sing along
🤎🤎
You're genius in your translation 💯🎶. Mohbad was spitting deep deep truth life. Thank you and keep it coming 🎉.
Yes he was!
Wo mo mi@@Simbihawt
This has to be his best song but a sabi is fire too
Fantastic job Simbi. And dear Mohbad, rest in peace in the bosom of the lord.
Amen 🤎
I love your work so much and how you are immortalizing our Imole and I have followed through on Mohbad's work, as a poet mostly, because I love to read alot and he has an inspiring and muse-ful(sic) body of work. On the part he said 'Which kind person be this'. I think its a rhetorical question, where his accusers and oppressors are asking themselves, 'what kind of person is this?' Like what sort of human is this Mohbad? why are we hurting him and he is just living his life not seeing us or hearing what we do. Nice work you are doing anyway and art is all perspective and subject to different understandings. Also, I am glad his work is exciting such intellectual analysis.
I totally agree with this narrative
Thanks for breaking this down. What you said actually makes sense. He is saying he acts like he doesn’t see, acts like he doesn’t hear, and he is still the focal point when he asks which kind person be this. Nice!! And yes I love when people bring their own perspectives of songs it’s so good.
@@Simbihawt wasn't expecting your reply. This made my day and yeah it is so good to see a beautiful work through many angles and understanding.

Kakiri means, Walking Aimlessly, Lodo Awon Aboki….He’s reminding his wife how she wrote her off and not believing in his hustle, which left him depressed and smoking cigarettes from one Aboki shop’s to another!

Slight correction.
Iyawo mi so da to
Ro mi pin
O fi mi si le
Now Mon fa cigar
Kakiri l'odo
awon Aboki
Translation:
My wife, is it good
That you looked down on me
You left me
Now I'm smoking cigar
Around where
Aboki people
(Aboki means friend in Hausa. The Hausa people usually sell provisions, cigarette and other daily needs in small kiosk in various neighbourhood. Generally, people call Hausa people Aboki.)
So he was smoking cigarette round those Aboki places when his wife left him because she did not believe in him.

Many thanks Simbi, for the wonderful job. Its my first time on your channel and its commendable.
In my view, the line...Survivor, Mio Ni Gba...means I am a survivor hence I will not give-in or not give-up or not accept defeat (in spite of all that life is throwing at him).
I agree with this! Thanks for sharing 🙂
Hmmn! I pray mohbad get justice.its jst so so sad...
You have done a good Job wonderful translations.
Thank you darling, your doing great job
Kakiri lodo aboki is the completion of the statement of Iyawo mi to to mi pin.
He's saying I'm smoking cigarettes from every aboki (my friend) I see to overcome the thoughts of you leaving me to doom
Okay got it that makes sense.
Am proud of you kudos to you 👏 ❤
As a teenager i had no money for pack of cigarettes so we buy sticks of cigarette from aboki( meaning my friend in Hausa). It was not wholesome behavior. Smoking was really frowned upon. So we used to hide behind the aboki’s shed to smoke. This is what he was saying when he said, “ … on fi mi sile mo n fa ciga kakiri l’odo aboki”
Kakiri is to walk aimlessly that’s what it means. So his wife gave up on him she left him to be going aimlessly to the aboki to buy cigarettes.
Nice translation you did a very good job, you're always spot on .... kudos

Great work .. My take in the Kakiri lo do aboki line is that it follows on frrom the previous lines ... as he now stressed from his wifes actions leading to him roaming around the streets buying and smoking cigarettes from different sellers who are Abokis normally. I come in Peace. RIP Imole
Thank you!!

But why do I feel this deep pain in my heart like an empath and yet I didn't know him? The pain seems not to want to leave me. I can't explain it....from Ug🇺🇬🇺🇬🇺🇬. 😢😢😢😢
Very normal as humans to feel sadness over someone’s death when we know they suffered. 💔💔
@@Simbihawt the pain has not diminished at all, time seems to intensify the pain even more.

Sure thing! I will upload a few of Mohbad’s songs this week and will include this song
My Dear Sister thank you so much for the Lyrical explanation. I am a Mandinka from the Gambia so understanding Yoroba is kinda had but i can collect some bit and pieces there and there. But you have did it all, and Thanks. Now i definitely know what Mobad is saying. To be frank enough i dont know Mobad. I just heard the Sad news and start following and reading about the tragic event which is so stressful. I always ask Why are we Killing our Own best Talents. Is like I know Mobad ( IMole ) since he start singing. But i definitely start to listen to him the very day his death was announced. That definitely leaves a mark on me. So since then am listening to his Music everyday. And deep down in my Heart am always crying and weeping inside. Please my Sister can you Translate the track Beast and Peace. Plzzz and Plzzzz ahh bek.
Hi I definitely understand and his death has been felt from people who knew him and people who didn’t know him. That’s the power of leaving an impact and many people can relate to some struggles he faced (broken home, hard life, bully, fake friends and family). We are human so our hearts can still cry out when someone dies even if we don’t know them. Beast and peace translation: ruclips.net/video/n95cTWxWyPc/видео.htmlsi=Wb-VSi_AD7ge_ua7
I Swear My Syster, WalayTalai, Mobad had in impact on me. 3 days now i can sleep properly, am always thinking of him, in my house or in the car am listening to him constantly. But now seeing you translating his lyrics is making me realise that the reason I can connect, is we not that much different. But by the grace of the God Almighty we keep pushing Imole. I got that word from him😊. I believe and pray that he is smiling in Paradise 🙏🙏🙏. From your Explanation, I have a quote which am gonna put on my signature in memory of Mobad and that word ( Surulele Imole) if i am right Patient to Success and Light at the End. If i am right please let me know.
Surulere by itself is complete. It’s the idea that patience is profitable or rewarding. You can take that alone to mean there is a light at the end of the tunnel or the patient dog gets the fattest bone. Many ways to understand and interpret it.
To join surulere imole I haven’t seen it before. Maybe if you are talking to someone named Imole. For how you mentioned it, it would be like saying patience is profitable light which in everyday conversation would not make sense but if it’s for your own personal reasons you are allowed to do whatever you please. Hope this helps 🙂
Thank you my dear, this definitely helps. Am gonna try studying Yoruba Language. We got so much Nigerian here. Sometime when they are having conversations, the sound and tone of the Yoruba Dialect always sound nice. I would start to read and may be start with the greeting and maybe later speak little bit Yoruba. 😊 But again Thanks you so much. I will be following your Channel. And i will be your biggest Fan.😁😊😊 I am Lamin.
You’re so kind. Let me know how the learning goes. Nice meeting you virtually Lamin 🤎
Thank you so much. I was searching for English translations and you’re spot on. Thank you 🎉 May he rest peacefully eventually.
