Good for you, you are clearly proud of your system and enjoying it very much and that's all that matters - the best system indeed is the one you have, that brings big smiles and makes you feel good 👌
@@audioeeze8396 it’s always exciting when you get your first stereo. I got mine a couple years ago and I’ve done a few upgrades here and there. I’m really happy with where it’s at right now!
As long as it makes you happy. Would I call it the best? Hell no - no where near the quality of other systems. But the only person that needs to love your system is you.
Surround sound, especially dpl, is best for movies and video. Dump the center channel and run the system in stereo mode only. Try not to corner the speakers either. Nice setup overall. Keep shopping at thrift stores and 2nd hand shops for upgrades. Even if it’s just better cables.
I have worked in high end HiFi for about 18 years now, My equipment consists of a Yamaha R-N2000A Amp, Yamaha CD player and a pair of Triangle Borea 9 Speakers. I suggest you buy exactly what I wrote, you won't be disappointed !
I'm not going to get into your choices in equipment but the way you set it up. You have the turntable and DVD player on basically the same shelf as the speakers, one speaker nearly touching the turntable. That setup has to feedback on the cartridge at most any decent listening level. If you cannot move the electronics away from the speakers, put the dustcover back on the turntable and place a heavy blanket , towel, or something over the dustcover to reduce feedback. Try it, it won't cost you anything.
@@watdanuqta-mf5ms alright, thanks for the suggestion! I know my turntable is spring dampened and I haven’t noticed any feedback (except for very high volumes) I will take your suggestion though!
@@gratmatassa5432 I got mine from a family friend. It had tonearm issues and I managed to fix them (at least temporarily) I still need to solder a ground wire or two to fix the buzzing issue. Free upgrade, place turntable and speakers on different shelves. Vintage Pioneer turntable, very nice. By the way, the only thing lossy about your system is the iPod. Highest res is the turntable.

find another location for those speakers tho'. being on same foundation as turntable is no bueno in hifi. also, acrylic platters don't require mats.
