Working on an oil rig in the middle of the Pacific Ocean is supposed to be routine-long shifts, rough weather, and endless stretches of open water. But nothing could have prepared us for what we found beneath the ocean floor.
At first, the drill hit something unexpected. The readings didn’t make sense, and the pressure kept rising. Then, the sounds started-deep, unnatural vibrations coming from below. We thought it was just a geological anomaly… until something started pushing back. Whatever we had disturbed wasn’t supposed to be found, and now, it was awake.
We were isolated, surrounded by nothing but ocean, with nowhere to run. And as the rig shook and the alarms blared, I realized the terrifying truth-we had drilled into something that was never meant to be disturbed.
