My HW95 for the first six months of it life loved the Airarms field diabolo 4.52's. Then the grouping opened up. Cleaned barrel and checked stock bolts. No joy. Tried QYS domed 9.56g and pellet on pellet at 30 yards now. My HW98 loves the same pellets too after loving the AAFD originally.
You can’t beat a Weihrauch, I’ve had my hw95 in 22 for about 8-9 years now and it’s never let me down it’s always ready to grab and dispatch the odd rat that decides to make its way into my garden. So easy to cock and not too heavy and nicely balanced and very accurate.
Thanks for this! Sorry if I missed this but what range is this? And how do you find the Vantage? I have the 3-9/50 and tried it last week at the range - if I’m honest, I was a bit disappointed at image quality at full mag (27 yards)
I use JSB Heavies in mine, 10.34gr and 4.52mm, they seem perfect and I only tried them by accident. I can consistently hit a 10mm hole on a HFT type target and group as many as I feel like under a 1p coin, all at 25-27 yards. And trust me, I'm no hot shot marksman! This thing is almost on a par with my S400. I found I got flyers with AADF and the added weight of the heavier pellet seems to stop that 🤷👍
I use crossman domed 7.9gn, in my 95k , very accurate out to 30 yards, after that not so good, not bad but ok , possibly because of the weight, and alot cheaper than the ones you are using, might be worth a try, good video, 😁👍
@@pelletplaytime4785 yep not a bad pellet i get mine from ramsbottoms good price and delivered in 2-3days , with them the more you buy the cheaper they are, 😁👍
I use the QYS Streamline 8.48 grain on my HW98. It's a great pellet but can be hard to group at 40 odd yards. But I'm working on it. Great pellet though which zips out of the barrel being 4.50 we which apparently are what Weihrauch barrels are.
@@pelletplaytime4785 I have the HW97 too which is a great gun but a bit heavier. I may adopt the QYS streamline pellets for all my HW springers. I once used The Air Arms Express pellets in my springers but found them sadly wanting in the wind at 40 yards, especially in competition. Good pellets though. Just watch your power! 😎
Wish I could afford all the HW RANGE just got a hw97k and had a hw35 in the 80s ........do you know by any chance how the hw35s perform these days against a rivalry of hw springers ....cheers 👍

The sparks on those flat bottle tops were very satisfying.
Lovely gun, good shooting, great range. Hours of fun ahead guaranteed!
Hi John. Thanks for that buddy, yep, I was at it again today, it's great to have an hour on the range and let all the stress out. ATB PP

Seems like a nice, old farts, back garden Air gun channel - I'm In !!

I agree on all counts mate, and if Mr Rat ever visits my garden he won't be around long.
Super pellets the Qys, my Hw97k loves em too in 4.50 head size 👍
HW97K now that's a rifle I would love to try. ATB PP
Nice shooting 👍
Well done.
Thanks Kurt. ATB PP
My Paul Short tuned 97k likes the QYS streamline 9.56 best as well, they probably share the same barrel so makes sense. Nice video 👍
Thanks for stopping by buddy, maybe I need to contact this Paul Short chap. ATB PP

I have been using QYS domed pellets for some time as my go too. They are very reliable in my Weihrauchs and BSAs.
Yes they are great pellets, very consistent. ATB PP
Just bought a HW50s! Looking forward to giving that a go!
Good luck with your new rifle buddy. ATB PP
Always fun to plink on random stuff!

Hi how loud is the hw95k ?
Remington looks nice
Good guns for the price Nigel. ATB PP
The name in Quality air rifles beautiful to .
Have you tried the qys domed lighter ones than 9 grain

My 43 year old, .22 Webley Vulcan Springer And my fairly new, .22 CP2, CO2 both like RWS Superdome. (wish I'd never sold my HW35 & BSA Mercury)
Some UK shooting channels are given pellets for Nowt'. - I believe It's called sponsorship!! (call it what else you will)
Is the silencer on the Hw 95 removable?
Yes

@@pelletplaytime4785 I have a HW95 also but prefer the HW98 as it is less hold sensitive and more suitable to HFT which I do.

Not at the moment John, there seems to be a lot of FB shooting groups so I have just stuck to doing the videos for now. ATB PP
