Interesting to see that screwdriver. I wonder if it's actually JIS - in which case it will work on much more than just that one screw. If it isn't magnetized from the factory, it's a good idea to do so, to help with the fiddly tiny screws.
Hi Chris, to answer your wish in this video "breakthrough.photography" make two "X4 dark CPL" 112mm filters which are both grads and polarisers (3+6)...I have two of their dark CPLs, because i'm a fan! (PS. You will also notice that Lee filters have today provided another solution for this fine lens)
Interesting but NISI 112mm filters ..No colour cast in any of their products @$ 199 is the way to go for screw on filters ... However Nisi has now brought out a Bracket which takes the normal 82 mm filters (100 x100mm or 100x 150mm glass filters) plus their 82 mm circular Polorisor that comes in my Standard Nisi Filter Kit ..but its nice to see that all manufacturers bring out their answers to a problem
I am not quite clear on the last solution. If you use the CPL with GND; how do you then move the filters in the correct position? It seems one is always “off”? Where do I make a mistake here? PS: Great video
The rear filter system I cannot recommend at all. Especially on sandy beached, windy locations, dusty areas, also in mountains. These filters seem to attract a lot of dust, smear and fingerprints. Since they are so small they are not easy to clean when holding them in the hand. There will always be an oily film on the edges. You need to be Asian (no offence) or a Child (no offence either) to be able to exchange the rear filters. Also the gaps of the filter holder provide entry points for foreign objects (corns of sand)
Hey chris love your videos i was wondering if you could review the canon 55-250mm stm lens to see if the lens is worth it in 2021 . I am thinking of purchasing the lens but is it really up to par in 2021
Very interesting. I currently own the Haida 100 series filter holder. Do you know if the old Haida 100x100 filters fit this new holder (m10)? I think the old ones are 1mm thick and these seem to be thicker. I would get the m10+adapter ring if my current filters fit in the front.
Hello Luis, all Haida 100mm filter is 2mm thickness and you can fit it on 100mm filter holder .But M10 Holder is very easy and quick to use .I suggest that you can order one set
I use Haida UV Filters, have 2-3, because Price-Performance Ratio is excellent, as Front Lens Element Protection...to protect it from Dust, Pollen, Smearing, Waterdrops, etc. It's way easier, cheaper, to replace a Filter, than your Front Element on your precious Lens - and if you use Vintage Lenses, almost impossible, there are no more spare Parts after Decades, so you can kiss your precious Lens Goodbye, if that happens.
the second option is really clever, wish this was a standard for this price/type of lens
Haida make some great filters, I have been using their 150mm filters for 3 years now, great video as always!
Thanks Andrei

rear element filter system is a great design, anything like that for canon/sigma lenses?

1mm is surprisingly thin - my 100mm square filters are all 2mm thick. You should check with Haida about using those thin ones

is it not available for the non z model for nikon 14-24
It's not my problem at all, but still, I wonder how many of those filter sets can be sold in total.
My serious tip is a few hundred.
actually quite more
Please, make a review of the Tamron 17-70 2.8 sony E lens!
