Ten years is a very long time and lot can happen in ten years, but some things never leave and haunt you for life. Axel's inventions have always for the betterment of Unington but they weren't always as lovable and benevolent like Mumu or Hero or even Dr. Tilt. It has been ten long years since war shook Unington and the world. Ten long years of a promise to never invent to hurt others.

I relate to Axel on a spiritual level. Every time I try to write code for a cool new game or mechanic I have in mind, about 5 hours later I come acrross a critical error that requires me to rebuild the engine from the ground up.

Every single melody/rhythm in this song tells a story; you could even say it describes how Axel got through the first 10 years of his dream. I hear all these rhythms echo the sort of feeling/experience. Meandering, A Little Desire, Acknowledgement of the Ends, Dream, Sleep, some Coping Mechanism, Uncertain Consistency, Indifference, Deafness, just the soundless mechanization.. And the one thing about it, is how instrumental it all is. Axel isn't meant to be an attention grabbing type, but his actions and quirks do and manage to say a lot.

I almost can’t believe the creativity and skill that goes into to the mixing and remixing of one song’s sample into another song in a way that makes it sound almost completely different. Sim Gretina does it again ladies and gentlemen!
