If you stretch like this you could potentially cause further damage. "Dr" Joel is a chiropractor.. he is not a real Dr. The fact that you claim he has curd 35 yrs of neck pain tells me that you haven't seen a real doctor and that you are a trump voter.

Sciatica. A good chiropractor that offers cervical decompression can change your life. (Worked for several & also used to suffer from same thing as well. A lot of people think sciatica is only lower back through butt and down legs eventually, which lumbar decompression, combines with inversion table, & manual adjustments can help as well. Cervical sciatica begins in necks and eventually goes down one side of neck down one arm. Most common with people who sit at computers all day, where lumbar is more common with men who do physical labor but that’s not an absolute.

Same here. My doctor gave me a great advise that helped me so much since then. She said, get your shoulders up and move the upper part of your back carefully bit by bit until you find where it hurts the most. Stay there couple of seconds, then loosen up, and repeat, finding new painful spots (there are always more then one, right?). This teaches the muscles that they have to relax after the pain.

      Same here!
I normally have to go for acupuncture a couple of times a year for the past 15 years. Luckily, it's covered in Taiwan. But now, knowing this stretch, hopefully, I'll be able to prevent the need to go as frequently as I do now.

@jennc.9099 Wouldn't that be wonderful? I can tell you this, after a few days of stretching in the RIGHT direction, I'm feeling relief. My left trap has been lit up for WEEKS!

I always think these videos are some kind of click bait trying to sell me something (esp because they pop up after I search something like 'neck pain'). But this actually worked. Thanks dude!

Omg I get this every now and then. I work as a CNA and I always assumed it was just the muscle that was irritated but nothing ever helped. I would just rest until it eventually went away. This makes much more sense and I will absolutely try this the next time it happens

Yes, but to protect stretched skin, You need a multipeptide collagen and keratin treatment with growth factors for longer lasting results. Skinlyte has a soap that is loaded not only with collagen but also keratin peptides. It is called Hair & Whole Body Bar. According to what I read on Amazon, it is fast absorbed because it has an enhanced peptide binding enhancement technology which produces water molecules in a condensation reaction that hydrates skin and hair naturally. It repairs, grows hair, naturally moisturizes, rebuilds and strengthens hair and skin. I got it at Amazon and I am impressed with new benefits I discover every time I use it. I noticed many improvements in my hair, skin and nails. What I like best about it is that it's all natural and without harmful chemicals such as synthetic dyes, fragrance, SLS or preservatives.

You may have just solved the problem of what has caused my neck pain for months. I have pain on the left side of my neck, and I have been stretching the way you said, on the opposite side. Now I will stretch on the other side, like you said. Do you have a site or channel I can go to to learn more from you. Loved the visual, too. Thanks so much.

OMGOSH my left side neck nerve was stretched so tight I screamed in pain! It felt like what I would imagine being stabbed in the neck would feel like. I have a high threshold for pain, being an right leg amputee (hemipelvectomy) and never (not even giving birth to 4 Large babies) did I ever experience such shocking, stabbing pain! I knew doctors would just call me a hypochondriac and/or drug me, so I went to a really good chiropractor! He gently worked on my neck and put me into a cervical collar. He helped it a little more each time I saw him!
