    Video tutorial showing how to fix Page with redirect errors in Google Search Console Page indexing reports.
    Page with redirect basically means that Googlebot is having an issue because the URL it tried to index is sending the user-agent to REDIRECTED URL thus Google can not index it. To learn more about fixing Page with redirect issues visit the Google Search Console help section here:

    hi, fantastic to the point content! Congrats! One Question please:
    I have a search console account which indexes also the subdomains, thus my Search Console is displaying ALL issues from several subdomains. Is there a way to filter issues by subdomain or even remove the subdomains from the Report, in order to be able to provide results?

    • @RankYa
      @RankYa  Год назад

      You can use advanced filters for Performance on Search results
      search.google.com/search-console/performance/search-analytics
      basically press on +New tab and press on Page, then explore your options (perhaps URLs NOT containing may help) (note: one could also use regex support.google.com/webmasters/answer/7576553/#regex_filter )
      Do keep in mind that the new Search Console allows 2 different options for verification (1 = URL verification and 2 = domain verification).
      Although you could use URL verification and just focus your attention on that URL (which will be your domain and not any of the subdomains).
      P.S for those who want to learn more about Google indexing = example.com is the TLD and anything found under this will be seen as part of the website. Subdomains are just folders under a domain for Google.
      Any content hosted at subdomain =
      subdomain.example.com is actually stored in example.com/subdomain/ on the server level, thus, Google treats the contents of that folder part of the website for ranking purposes.
      What if you do NOT want Google to evaluate that folder? The only way to block Google from evaluating that folder would be to send *noindex directive for that folder* (do NOT use robots.txt file to block Google until you ensure noindex is sent for that folder (which would be required only in rare cases)).

    So I should only pay attention to "all submitted pages" and ignore the all known pages? would it not affect indexing of my other pages?

    • @RankYa
      @RankYa  Год назад

      If you have done everything correctly, yes, ignore all known pages. Please do watch the XML Sitemap Best Practices because that 1 feature (Sitemaps) in Search Console can avoid many errors in Page Indexing Reports

    Im confused if I did not submit URL for index , It has not referring page. I did find it in the Url in the code. Those pages are useless. You mention to ignore them but then the site witll not index again correct? I I use the robot.txt to disallow the url? Ther is actually 4 and they are found in the code consecutively.

    • @RankYa
      @RankYa  Год назад +1

      The site will not index again correct? *Yes*
      NOTE: REMOVE any disallow directive from robots.txt file which may block Google drom access the mentioned URL/s
      I use the robot.txt to disallow the url? *NO*
      For such URLs (useless or gibberish URL patterns Google picks up, best practice is to just serve 404 HTTP Response code and focus on content creation instead).

    Gold content!!! Finally, a video that is not superficial but comprehensive ....
    Please help me .. I have a different case..... I have redirect issues where a problem URL (http, www. ) has been referred from a different anonymous/suspicious/spam Japanese page (referring page) ... Of course, I will not validate fix in my case but how can I tell google not to redirect to my website from that wrong URL present on a spam/malicious webpage... should I remove the problem URL under "Removals section"?

    • @RankYa
      @RankYa  Год назад

      *NO* because URL removals section is for the verified website, it is not for some external spam website. Simply ignore the referring spam website (it is common to see those types of URLs in Search Console reports).
      P.S if you want to be very thorough, one could explore web server log files, as well as simply ensure performance reports are OK (no drastic ranking drops) as well as explore security features in Search Console.

    thans for the vedio , what if the Referring page ist none detected?

    • @RankYa
      @RankYa  Год назад +1

      If the referring URL/s in Google Search Console is not showing, you still need to fix redirect errors for ANY/ALL URLs in the Sitemap you've submitted to Search Console with redirection issues.
      Although Google Search Console reports may not show refferring URLs, but that still means that Googlebot has somehow seen (and seeing) the problem URL

      Additionally my site has not uploaded /used a robot,text file. Does this mean I can assume robot.txt is not the cause of the redirect errot then?

    • @RankYa
      @RankYa  Год назад +1

      Yes is the answer about robots.txt but we also need to remember that Google is now strict about indexing. 0 pages that have successfully indexed could mean many things, but if there are is redirection issue, then, it sounds like it is a major problem that you may need assistance by a web deverloper.

    Hi google console shows my website has redirects.
    When i open the website it works fine.
    But the inspection from google console shows some strange URLs in the Referral URLs.
    When I try to open those links, they are spam websites.
    When i try to find those URLs in my code of website, I do not find them.
    What could be the reason and solution? Thank you for your help

    • @RankYa
      @RankYa  Год назад

      Most likely it is en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Referrer_spam (in 99% cases, this is normal because Google just picks these URLs when it crawls the internet) (usually automated website scrapers which publishes information about a website and links to the website (in this case your website)) Google follows that link and shows it Google search console.
      *When i try to find those URLs in my code of website, I do not find them*
      Do not lose sleep over it (almost all websites has these strange URLs in Google Search Console).

    • @RankYa
      @RankYa  Год назад

      But make sure to double check Performance reports so that there are not drastic ranking drops nor you are hit with negatice SEO (meaning someone blasts the internet with spammy links pointing to a website and uses automated clicks to send spam traffic to a website) (I am more than certain that is *NOT* the case for your website) (I just wrote that for the next person who maybe seeking insights about those Search Console referring URLs).

    Because their https version are indexed.

      As long as the pages are correctly redirecting to https, all should be okay. However, are you talking about ALL SUBMITTED PAGES or all known pages.

    If we delete these urls can it fix this issue

    • @RankYa
      @RankYa  Год назад

      Sure, but that is not the right way to fix this issue. Because then search console may show 404 Page Not found issues.
      Best practice to fix redirection is look for submitted pages in Google Search Console Page Indexing report, then, double check WWW. VS NON-WWW version settings are correct, ensure XML Sitemap URLs are correct, ensure ALL internal links are using just 1 version of the domain. For example: www.example.com is different for Google compared to example.com

      For Google Blogger best advice is to read through this support.google.com/blogger/thread/9075673/how-can-i-upload-a-sitemap-to-my-blog?hl=en OR generage your own XML Sitemap (in fact, you can just use text file editor such as notepad and insert ALL URLs 1 by 1 on each new line and then submit that as a sitemap.
