Wow well done guys, so you’re about 3180KG with both of you there, but also because you have 3 seats (75KG per seat). Well done guys. Your way under 3500kg

That’s why I am on the lookout for a crafter CR50 5 tonne. Twin rear wheel

They were quite rare when we were looking, but if you can find one, it would be great and give you a lot of peace of mind 👍

Go back with a small amount of fuel, and onboard water. Also make sure to take out anything not necessary. It will cut the weigh down. All the best.

Once we are living in the van, obviously we want to have the capacity to take our belongings and enjoy the camper as our house so we wanted to make sure we are constantly stressing about the weight. Reducing the fuel and water so we weigh less is only a strategy we'd really adopt if we were getting on ferries or something, where they might actually check the weight and we want to make sure we pass with flying colours 😊
Other than that, at this stage in the game, we would like to be aware of the worst-case scenario, aka fully loaded

The rubber bushings last much longer anyway. The only reason for upgrading the bushings is if you want a firmer/stiffer ride. Yes you get a choice of different shore hardness bushings if you upgrade them. Which is great if your driving a sports car/track day car. Anyone that says differently doesn't know what they are talking about.

Very true, only reason for thinking about getting poly bushings were because we have alot of weight in the back and it might have helped with suspensions bounce hut for 10x the price, rubber ones will be fine 😉

I wish we had as much spare weight as you guys, ours comes in at just under 3.5 tonnes!
But then we have added an upstairs 😂

Honestly, looking at your bedroom addition, it's impressive that you're still under 3.5T, you've done a good job managing the weight considering the functionality you've got. 😀

@@FreedomStrider if I’m completely honest it was a let’s do it and see moment and thankfully it paid off.
We just can’t gain any extra weight over Christmas or we will be over weight 😂
