Outend marker are now mana dory if your van is over 2.1 meters in width and the indicators discolour as the paint comes off making them emit white light brake imbalance may just be low mileage and brake stick
4, bulbs, set of front pads, free off sticking NSF caliper and a headlight polish should see it all done. Yes they are marker lights down the side of the van, fortunately they are not an obligatory lamp so not testable. The new pads should come with new sensor wires so that should fix the brake warning light at the same time.
The things it failed on are only minor so dont worry. Brake pads and a couple of bulbs to pass. I hope they gave you an idea about the cost but depends if to asked them to do advisories as well.
Hi Trevor. I just subscribed and enjoying your content, shame about the mot fail but probably the most expensive part of that will be the front brake overhaul, the wishbone issue will need checked at some stage as it will only get worse. Hopefully the sparky can solve the electrical issues with lights.
Well the sparky did fix the lights, but left a trail of destruction behind him. We are still trying to clean the upholstery. What does a wishbone do Stuart.
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun The wishbone is just another name for the suspension arm, basically it connects the wheel hub and suspension to the chassis of the vehicle, ovetime they corrode and also the rubber bushes in the arm wear and allow movement, sometimes you will start to hear a knocking noise when going over bumps, its only an advisory so just see how it goes, you never know it might have the same advisory next MOT, Terrible the state they left your van in.
@@Stuart4251 Thank you Stuart. That's not something i would tackle. When the time comes to fix it, does the van have to be on ramps or could a mobile mechanic fix it.
@@trevorpat-lifeontherun Its probably easier to have it on a lift, but worth checking with a mobile mechanic as they may be able to do it with a jack and stands, it might just be a case that if the suspension arm is in good condition they might be able to remove it and press out the old worn bush and stick a new one in, most competent mechanics should be able to do that in a couple of hours id say, a new suspension arm might be any where from 75 to 150 pound depending on the brand then id say a couple of hours time to change it, just to give you a rough idea of the costs etc Stuart Paton 1 week ago (edited) Hi Trevor. Thanks Chris, dosen't sound too bad, but that's providing there's no electrical fault.

no idea about cost. It's never cheap.
