I know there's nothing to the scale of Beringia, but clearly other currently-submerged lands would have been extant, simplifying the case for a trans-Pacific route.

But how many people would have been displaced if this was a fully inhabited land mass? Millions? Where did they go? Know you're a great friend to many of us when we don't have one in sight buddy
First off, Nate if you're reading this, awesome video! I did not expect historical content from this channel but I'm loving it, keep indulging your interests! Seconedly, regarding the Red Sirius mystery, there's something I haven't seen brought up that I'd like to add to the conversation. That being, it is actually a known phenomenon that certain ancient cultures refer to what we would consider blue as red instead. The most notable example of this is when Homer describes the ocean as "wine-dark." It's thought that they essentially saw blue as just another shade of red, (or at least referred to it that way), and people only started thinking of it as a distinct color when blue dye became cheaper and more popular, kind of like how we use the word "pink" now to refer to a lighter shade of red. Now I'm no expert and this is all coming from off the dome, so I can't be sure how plausible this explanation is for every account, but I thought it woulf be a fun tidbit for anyone interested in this kind of stuff; this conundrum could all be the result of nuance being lost in translation, thanks to the way that technology and culture change over time.
For Population Y: There's also the possibility that the genetic signals were already diluted by their migration to the Americas, something we might see with the Ainu, who are of haplogroup D1a2 like the Andamanese.
I don't know if you are still reading comments or if someone already addressed this, but I actually studied the Near East a lot. The pronunciation of Supilupiluma is Shoo-pi-loo-pi-loo-ma. My professor and i always cracked up over it. That said, the Zananza incident was actually depicted in the manga Red River (which takes place during the period with varying degrees of historical accuracy). As a fellow fan of history, I recommend it. Thanks for the video!

Props to a RUclipsr that knows his audience, this is a welcomed edition to your video topics.
This channel's pivot from Bethesda games to world history is absolutely amazing.
We getting into real life lore now! I love listening to these before bed, so glad you're working on more variety in your videos!
I love how he still used his skyrim text boxes for this. Amazing video nate.
I LOVE THESE SO MUCH! I AM SO GLAD FOR ANOTHER ONE 🎉🎉🎉
ngl i'm up for it, just hearing you voice for hours is great, best narrator
I could not be more excited for this evolution of EpicNate Content.
bruh this content is perfect i love the direction the channel seems to be going
Dude I’m so happy you are STILL GROWING!!! You deserve it!!!
A1 Content that focuses on real mysteries in history in the same format people do for 411 !!! This is awesome
The thing that keeps me coming back and what makes it interesting is the respect you have for their cultures
Havent watched this channel in years since I wasnt interested in the stuff you covered anymore. This brought back all the nostalgia, love it
Great video, Nate! I genuinely love these new history videos, they're so interesting.
Not what I was expecting when I clicked on the video, but I'm not disappointed. Well done Nate. Can't wait for the next one!
Incredible video Nate! Love to see you branch out from time to time
Really enjoyed this. Especially hearing the details of population Y. That one always fascinates me, and is rarely covered.
IVE NEVER BEEN MORE HYPED IN MY LIFE
You have such a voice for doing mysteries and as much as I love Fallout I'm so happy you're doing this too.
For Population Y: There's also the possibility that the genetic signals were already diluted by their migration to the Americas, something we might see with the Ainu, who are of haplogroup D1a2 like the Andamanese.
but then why wouldnt the north american people have it too, only the south? the pacific journey is the most possible one if anything
I think that the sentiment being echoed here is that we are stoked! Actually showing the scientific literature and not engaging in conspiracy lends so much to your credibility. I think Milo from miniminutemen would be proud!
Not a Bethesda fan, but if we can expect more real life history videos like this one, you've got a new subscriber, this is exactly the kind of content I love to see on youtube.
Nate branching off into real life is awesome!!
Glad you’re branching out into history it’s awesome!
I usually don't leave comments, but Holy Talos your videos are so good!!! but now that you're doing real-life history, I love it!! Please keep doing what you're doing. 🙏🏾
Please keep doing more videos like these! Keep up the amazing work, Nate!
