Nasi lemak!
Actually, the egg in the last wanton noodles is called Agitama Egg, not onsen egg. Onsen egg is the one which looks like soft boiled eggs😉 Just info for you guys☺ Great video by the way!
Oops thanks for letting us know!
@@BenRanAway No problem! Hope to see more great food reviews from you guys soon! =)
Thanks for meeting up to make this content for us. Love how you siblings are so close together like me and my sis. Haha
Haha and thank you for watching!
Maybe you two should provide your opinions on which wonton noodle is the best for you so the audience can gauge
We might go for the first one!
@@BenRanAway cool! Thanks for the input, perhaps this can be placed at the end of the video when summarising or concluding ^^
Yes! 2nd store, Ji Ji Wanton Noodle!
Ate since before they got the Michelin bib like many years ago!
Definitely must try and yes usually the queue is heng suay by luck on timing. Irregardless is still worth the wait/queue! 👍👍👍
Yah we were lucky cause there was no queue!
Can you try Mei Yuen wanton mee? It is at East Coast rd. All of the workers are elderly
So coincident I had wanton noodles for lunch today 😄 I never thought of having expensive wanton noodles (over $4.50) since I'm not really a fan of it but it's nice to know how expensive and good it can get based on ur review 👍
Haha yay!
OMG I love wonton mee 😅
Please take Miss Hippo out to eat wanton mee again next week 🤭

My fav lai fa ba wonton noodle got featured! Anyway, how about doing a best reviewed bak chor mee episode? Will love to know where does all the nice BCM stalls reside at
Yes we love BCM!
i think we need another round of chopstick classes for ben
Hi Ben and Randy! You should go try the angel hair at mount faber at DUSK!
I think the best authentic traditional tasting wanton mee in Singapore is Kuong's Wanton Mee at Sims Ave.
Nice my husband favourite
Can fight
Yes. Closest taste I can get to my childhood memory. Singapore wanton mee using tomato sauce. Mslaysia uses black sauce with fried wanton. My favourite childhood wanton mee is from The New World - they handmade the egg noodle... lost taste since everyone moved to the hawker in last 70s.
Thanks for sharing! Can’t wait to try!
Great choices to feature! I’ve been to Chef Kang & Ji Ji.
I would describe Chef Kang as a really well-done version of the CLASSIC HK wanton noodles. The egg noodles are super thin & springy, the sauce salty but light (I disagree that it’s dark/ black sauce leh), the char siew is good, unlike the thin, dry & tough kind found at most wanton noodles stalls, although not the best that I’ve had. I would return again except it’s rather inaccessible (it’s at TPY but a bus ride from the central then still gotta walk in) & it closes super early at 3 or 4pm so I want to eat it’s also not open for me to eat!
Ji Ji is nothing like the different kinds of wanton noodles that most of us are used to, it’s indeed unique! Yet there’s still some familiarity! I think the closest comparison would be Pontian in terms of the springiness of the noodles (but A LOT MORE springy, it’s insane) & the fried wantons. I don’t think I see it here but they used to have braised sliced Chinese mushrooms in the bowl too & it’s really effort leh (just like how the soup has goji berries) & most importantly tasty. I agree Ji Ji is super value for money for its portion & types if ingredients. My only gripe with it is the char siew, a bit lacking effort leh BUT it’s not terrible & whatever it lacks the rest of the bowl makes up for it. It’s a must try! See even Ben is so impressed by the noodles alone haha. I’m not really a wanton noodles fan so take my words that this one is really a must try. Ji Ji is also very accessible in Chinatown, the hawker centre right next to Chinatown Point that’s right next to the MRT station. Be ware of weekday office lunch crowd though, can get very crazy so if you hungry you’ll end up being very frustrated haha.
The last place, I see the char siew I already know it’s gonna be good. The mixed fatty & lean cut looks sooooo yummy with the proportion & it seems nicely glazed & charred. 🤤 And the ramen egg is a plus! It’s not onsen egg btw. Onsen egg is the soft boiled runny kind, which I don’t like, I refer this ramen egg, it’s almost like hard boiled but not too well done so it has a somewhate gooey centre & the egg white part is infused with soya sauce & mirin taste, yums.
Thank you for this comment! Yes we totally agree and thanks for letting us know your thoughts! 😉
@@BenRanAway Thank you for taking the time to read & reply to your viewer’s’ comments ❤️ My favourite local YT content & YTbers, Miss Hippo & Ms Hippo Lao Gong brought you boys up well 👍🏼

Never heard of any of these before... Is it only a handful of review thus the high rating?
actually they are quite popular. At least I know the first two.
You can google the stores and find many blog about it. Also on RUclips there are a lot of videos.
Given the portion and quality i think the last one is quite worth it.
Feifei at Yuhua village hawker centre damn shiok
5:43, Randy’s “Ya” looks shocked ahahahha

Yall must try Yishun Park Hawker Center, “One Mouth Noodles (一口面)!

Give d addresses of these places.. always U guys expect us to guess d place ..,"in the West".. so vague...
Hi we will always state the name of the location in the description box ☺️
Mr Ben, your chopstick skills still cmi...
LOL
Hi
The first all is an all rounded winner in terms of taste, quality and affordability. The 2nd stall is too sweet and taste weird. Will not recommend at all.
Agreed, Jiji noodles are too alkaline haha
Wanton mee above $5 I think is not so affordable for some folks.
Way too expensive for a wanton mee with 2 wanton
isn’t it we got and not gotten 😅
Ben are u sick ? Your voice sounds a little different .......
Are all the food video showing are organic dishes?
Are they encourage to eat organic dishes ?
Base on the price of organic ingredient, the organic dishes are tasteless and no much sweetness.
Should use approved industrial food chemical to enhance the flavor of organic dishes.
Can make more things in the end
💖
First!!❤
🤣🤣🤣🤗🤗🤗💪💪👍👍👍👍😘😘😘
Nothing special about the wanton mee n expensive at $6. I can get better n cheaper at sengkang blk 266
Yay,finally first
$6/- for wanton noodle, overpriced.
