Hi I wonder if you could help I picked up my car from national tyres yesterday and now the interior blower will not work, If I undo the battery it then works but if I restart it doesn’t work, The vent’s open and close perfectly, I have had the battery on charge all night it is still the same Thanks
Any chance you happen to know the part number of the cables? I went to fix mine just to see that they where just not there and yes I was looking on the correct side because the mounting hole for the screws where there and it was the left side of the car. Please and thanks
I like the early heat in my V6 XF. Mine is 2008 and I haven't had a problem with the vents. A bypass would bug me though, I want everything to work as it should.

It’s all behind the dash and that’s a big expensive job

My vents just stay open and fan just blows out cold ....will this fix it?

Hello i just done that,but driver side still blows cold...
This fix only helps with the rotation of the vents when they no longer roll not the heat from the blower that’s a different issue
I have a 4.2L 2009 SC petrol .... USA.... I'm having this issue my self... checked my footwell couldn't see the Pre heater red cable
Look up by drivers side for you

@@f-u-nkyf-u-ntime that’s fine but a proper fix is £400 fix and frankly you wouldn’t notice it if you didn’t know
I have a xf 3.0 with the same issue when you say insulate how do you mean, tape it or cut it and tape it
@@brandito9973 yes wrap some tape over the ends you don’t want a heavy duty live wire flapping around down there
My vents don't open will this be the same issue as your ?
Most likely . Find the cable disconnect it and see if they work 10 min job

No it won't work you will be in a situation where half raise and half don't . The pre heat system manages the vent rotation sequence
