Great vid, Moi! I really enjoy the WPMC as well. As far as the new "Between Rounds Data Interface" I have some ideas: I have an idea to improve the effectiveness/usefulness of map/faction voting. When the round is over there are no open coms. Coms change to only command coms between SLs, and squad coms between the individual squads from the previous game. There should be a button on that screen SLs can click to mute their squad coms, so they can communicate with command coms clearly (they did do the Squad Only button). Then they can relate info down the chain of command, so to speak. Only SLs can vote for maps and factions. They can, if they choose, communicate with their squad to get their vote, and they can deliberate over command coms with the other SLs to decide which map/faction is best for the round ahead. There are many benefits to this change: 1- Chatter and nonsense in ‘tween-rounds voting is eliminated, so actual planning can be done as faction/map voting is made. 2- The most experienced players (the Commander & SLs are making the final decisions instead of random clicking). 3- Time and proper deliberation is spent on the advantages and disadvantages of X,Y,Z maps/factions (in other words, the info button is being hit, and the map and factions are actually being studied). 4- During this deliberation, it is reasonable to assume that initial strategies will be discussed (“...hey, we need these guys cuz we should do this n that…”), thus giving the potential leaders of the next round at least a rough blueprint (if not a detailed one) of how to play the next round. Certainly the likelihood of taking advantage of the new cap timer and mass back-capping would be exponentially higher. Remember, the SL is from the previous round, and therefore has some rapport with their personnel. If you can lead them in a Squad battle, you can certainly lead them in a Squad voting round. The only danger I foresee in this system is a repetition of map/layer scenarios. This is easily fixed by simply offering different faction/map/layer types for voting every round. If the SL departs after the game, then the temp SL is assigned just like in-game, and this individual will have same said above mentioned powers of voting. Anyway, I think tis new data could be an excellent tool to increase teamplay IF it can be utilized properly, and I believe the simple above changes could dramatically aid in making that happen. I am curious what you think.
I love the weapon variety! It feels somewhat realistic yet playful enough so that we get cool and unique weapons. The fact that they actually based a lot of the weapon parts / builds off of real brands gives it a very US PMC feel. I also love the names they used to bye pass copyright 😂
you really should do a deep dive into the loach CAS and particularly it's rockets. I've killed tracked IFVs and MGS's with them so I'd really like to see how much damage each rocket is doing to the different types of vehicles and maybe you could find some pointers on where and what to aim for for the best effect. Also, I wouldn't mind seeing things like the loach's health and weak points covered. Overall, I'm just surprised not more people are talking about the loach CAS. This feels like a big deal, but maybe that's just because I'm a heli pilot and most players are not
I was really hoping that the PMC weapons were going to be higher quality versions, less recoil, better ADS time, etc. It seems like the whole purpose of the PMC's is higher quality light infantry than the other factions. Their vehicle selection is less beefy than even Insurgents or Irregular Militia so the emphasis needs to be on superior infantry plays and better weapons than other factions would have made that more possible.
If they added Manpads it would be interesting to see how the british martlet and starstreak systems would work given they are both capable of being used against vehicles with Saclos guidance and warheads with some armour penetrating capability.
11:25 Don't mean to be 'that guy', but AKs don't have upper and lower receivers. That's typically something youd say about an AR-pattern rifle. In this case, it's more accurate to just say 'modified furniture', as the core receiver itself doesn't seem to have any real changes. Just the dust cover, pistol grip, muzzle break, and hanguard.
Imo I don't know about dedicated AA. Its a genie I want left in the bottle. Monkeys paws finger will curl and every helicopter will be decimated on every team in a way that ultimately would be more toxic than a rocket barrage. I get it, the AA is old... But it also exists already and people have already grown to be professionals at shooting air down with RPG's and TOW missiles..
What I use the Sapper's c4 for is when i track a tank or apc and i sneak up on the vic and place a brick under it and blow it up. even if you die you can respawn anywhere at the moment and pull the detonator. I think the det needs to have a range in which it can set off explosives to be set to 50-100meters.
They most likely will. They reworked TOWs to make it easier to implement other types of missiles/rockets which probably means some form of MANPADS so that there is an actual counter to any kind of heavy CAS they add like an Apache or MI-28.
Definitely the best faction they've added since the IMF rework imo. So much variety for kits and vehicles (other than heavy armour) which means any round will be different and not just M4, AK, M4, M4, M4, AK etc...
Bro people behave as if squad is full of battles, but in reality, just like in a real war, you just have nearly no fights and just focus on the objectives, although the team mechanizem and how you need to play in squads is really nice
I remember how much this game indirectly increased by expectations for Battlefield 6 (which ended up as 2042). Cuz if Indie devs could do all of THIS...then imagine what DICE will do...
Lets not forget that Squad has been worked on for... maybe 10 years. I first heard of it in 2015. It's been quite a journey to get to where we are. Not only time and experience, but a lot of community feedback and testing went into it.
@@levoGAMES Imagine if EA made a game for as long, and supported it for as long as the Squad devs. Or if the Squad devs had access to the same amount of money and resources.
I like your suggestion for the Simon offense rifle. Better ads, Worse recoil. 10 in barrels are not quite enough for 556. You have extra recoil and fireballs coming out of the muzzle.
Honestly I expected the PMC to get Ford Technicals and not reskin Insurgent ones also a civilian Offroad Logi Truck also Weapons that is more to civilian market such as the SIG MPX, MCX, ACR and others
Honestly a few things do feel a bit like placeholders, for instance why the M60T? Did they get them from Turkey, because if they got them straight from Israel they would be Sabra Mk. 2s instead. Actually, why do they even have a tank at all? It kinda feels like they did some testing and realized they felt too weak without one?
@@jacaredosvudu1638 Doesn't the PLANMC exclusively use TDs? I thought something like that would be what the WPMCs would get, maybe not amphibious but a pair of lighter TDs instead of one tank, would fit the mobility aspect of the faction better.

Small correction on the Raven helicopter. It looks like a reskinned CH-146 that CAF has. But it's not, it flies very differently. It's very sluggish and acts more like a Russian Mi-8 than a CH-146. Worst helicopter in the game by far since it has the low carrying capacity of 800 supplies just like the CH-146, but without the maneuverability that should come as a tradeoff...
The shorty M4 is shorter in barrel length and i feel its easier to hipfire in CQB. It just feels more manuverable and managable in comparison. Considering the changes from ICO, i think people are sleeping on this difference.
we want simulator truck mode, to be toggled if someone want only to work as a truck driver, and enjoying logistics as a simulator, like using a steering wheel, or mouse for steering
Hopefully we see those MANPADS soon. Also kinda sad we didn't get any naval unit for the PMC. On the topic of MANPADS though, what do you think they should do for CAS Helis for the other factions? As well, how should they handle ATGMs like Hellfires and Vikhrs. I think that they should just be omitted entirely in favor of rockets like the Hydra, S-8, S-13, Mighty Mouse, FS-70 (When Germany comes), SNEB (When France comes).
I think they should've replaced the m14 with the mk14. The m14 is good, but I feel like it looks very out of place when compared to the after-market looks of their aks and m4s.
I think I knew why it's the M14. I thought it was a reference to the Mini 14 that security contractors literally can not get enough of, but I think it's more a reference to Randy Stugart who was famous for using it in Mogadishu. Black Hawk Down kinda made the M14 a sort of cultural icon (which is frankly more than it deserves, the M14 was kinda a crap weapon with poor quality control) and considering we seem to be dealing with a bunch of air soft enthusiasts, it would make a bit of sense they'd pick them up.
Managed to wipe out a full logi with the WPMC vehicle with the gatling gun, my buddy driving at mach fck speeds. Those poor sods didn't even know what hit them.
Hard disagree on the Loach needing SAM's to counter it. I have yet to see it not get swatted out of the sky immediately. It is a very weak machine that's only good for harassing unarmed lone logis or grads. In general Helicopters in squad also get shot down a lot. Plus it's only available on Air Assault, which is otherwise by far the worst unit category in the game.
this is how those BF4 guys with 100:1 k/d talk. Too weak, because they think they deserve that K/D and that it is their skill that shines, not the lack of tools to deal with.
I don't think MANPADs are required. If they are implemented at all realistically they won't be that effective as time to fire will be too long. The biggest threat on the battlefield to helicopters are HMGs and auto cannons, which every faction has plenty of. And of course the ZSU 23-2 is in game.

Moi posts a video so good my internet went out for 3 hours
Great video. A very mobile class. Dangerous in the right hands 😎
Love the Magpul dressing. same furniture I run on my AR.
awesome update love this game, cant wait to see your eye in the sky videos with the pmcs!
I love the weapon variety! It feels somewhat realistic yet playful enough so that we get cool and unique weapons. The fact that they actually based a lot of the weapon parts / builds off of real brands gives it a very US PMC feel. I also love the names they used to bye pass copyright 😂
Even without the IFVs and having a M60T as MBT PMC faction can overwhelm the enemy faction. With or without CAS.
The scope for their M14 Marksman is the first useful Marksman scope in the game.
PMC SUVs with mini guns and little birds are epic, about damn time. Been dreaming of this
you really should do a deep dive into the loach CAS and particularly it's rockets. This feels like a big deal, but maybe that's just because I'm a heli pilot and most players are not
This update got me back into squad I’m pretty jazzed about it
The WPMC also gets the Browning Hi-Power too btw
Definitely looks to be a fun faction
"Generic surplus" >Wearing Crye G3 pants, which are +$300
Just an additionall note: another one the sidearms the PMC's have access to is the Canadian Hi-Power pistols, in addition to the Glock and Beretta M9.
Patiently waiting for a WPMC battle report video, see a guide posted instead.
This will do for now 😎😤
I was really hoping that the PMC weapons were going to be higher quality versions, less recoil, better ADS time, etc.
Got a feeling we're gonna be getting another guided missile update, specifically with fire & forget options.
11:25
Don't mean to be 'that guy', but AKs don't have upper and lower receivers.
Pro tip The dishkas shoot down the little birds easy
you should cover a Global escalation mod game soon, with this update they added attack helicopters and AA to most modded factions
Turns out, the M-14 in full auto is everything I need in life.
The "X" on the AH-6 windscreen is typically drawn on with a wax pencil.
27:37 WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!? You've unleashed Legion the demon horde! T_T
The attack helicopter make me wonder if they will add attack helicopter to regular factions
In the game files the Little Bird is classified as "CAS Small," so I would expect "CAS Large" or simply "CAS"in the future 👀
Didn’t MEE or one of those mods have a cas chopper as well? I remember getting spawn camped by a little bird trying to resupply habs
They most likely will. They reworked TOWs to make it easier to implement other types of missiles/rockets which probably means some form of MANPADS so that there is an actual counter to any kind of heavy CAS they add like an Apache or MI-28.
@@Eskeletor_210 GE Still has them, Been playing with the Viper before 8.1 came out
@@MoiDawgUH60 CAS, MI8 CAS and UH1Y CAS are coming 100% the game files have UH60 Rocket Pod Models
New faction is great and I think it’s the best one yet.
Couple extra things you missed:
RAIDER class gets 4x M83 smokes,
LAT (M72) class gets 2x M72,
HAT (CarlG) class gets HE, as well as HEAT and Tandem.
LAT 1 (Unscoped) gets 2 LAWs
LAT 2 (Scoped) gets 1 AT4
Definitely the best faction they've added since the IMF rework imo. So much variety for kits and vehicles (other than heavy armour) which means any round will be different and not just M4, AK, M4, M4, M4, AK etc...
F16!? C'mon, how I wish it be remodel to Mig23 or Hind to referencing Executive outcomes.
Wire Guided Missiles are affected by IR Smoke because the missile's position is determined by an IR Light on the missile itself
Ooooh
Adorable Vibe
Mostly cool faction
Underwhelming given everything else to cover
are the miniguns realistic? are suv's equipped with miniguns actually a real life thing?
Bro people behave as if squad is full of battles, but in reality, just like in a real war, you just have nearly no fights and just focus on the objectives, although the team mechanizem and how you need to play in squads is really nice
5:21 Full auto M14 is probably the most absurd weapon ever made by the United States.
M4 and M16 Wormpool - M4 and M16 with Magpul Furniture
M4 Simon Defense - Daniel Defense PDW
AK Pushco - AK101 with Zenitco Sport handguard
Hope they move to UE5 like they did with starship troopers 🌴
I hope the devs listen to you on the short M4 suggestion. I'd love to have a Mk18 style weapon for the urban maps.
Totally agree the stubby should be slightly faster ads for clearing tight spaces. Missed Oportunity
I can’t wait to eventually get the FIM-92 in game one day
Honestly I expected the PMC to get Ford Technicals and not reskin Insurgent ones also a civilian Offroad Logi Truck also Weapons that is more to civilian market such as the SIG MPX, MCX, ACR and others
@@Aconcernedrifleman well... yeah? All factions on the game need tanks
@@jacaredosvudu1638 Doesn't the PLANMC exclusively use TDs? I thought something like that would be what the WPMCs would get, maybe not amphibious but a pair of lighter TDs instead of one tank, would fit the mobility aspect of the faction better.
@@jacaredosvudu1638 This is a Private Military Company a Company they are not part of a government entity. Therefore, it doesn't make sense why they have an MBT more over majority of their equipment should be originated from civilian markets, surplus military and behind doors contracts with defence companys
@@Aconcernedrifleman perhaps, but i dont think OWI really put much thought onto the faction as a whole
won't be long until we get CAS in almost every faction as long as we get MANPADS and AA capabilities.
Damn we got zenit furniture AKs in Squad before GTA6 🤯
Small correction on the Raven helicopter. It looks like a reskinned CH-146 that CAF has. But it's not, it flies very differently. It's very sluggish and acts more like a Russian Mi-8 than a CH-146. Worst helicopter in the game by far since it has the low carrying capacity of 800 supplies just like the CH-146, but without the maneuverability that should come as a tradeoff...
Eastern PMC faction will just be a bunch of guys half drunk and their commander will constantly having to scream into the radio for more ammo
'SHOIGU! GERASIMOV!"
You forgot to talk about MP5/SOR9 has more bullet drop then ANY 9mm pistol....
its sooo. fucking. ridiculous.
This clapback is actually insane 😂 slorg got dunked on
you got that first rifle wrong, its the M1 Garand Mod 0
As a medic main, im glad barrel stuffing aint a thing in squad. Fallujah would be a nightmare
I noticed today, that the Simons (cqc M4) doest turn away when you are too close to a wall/window/doorframe.
They need to add skins for bandages. Like crayons and gummy bears
yo im early, what software do you use to edit your videos?
DaVinci Resolve
Really good 👍🏼
I think they should've replaced the m14 with the mk14.
M14 is SOOOOOOO good. Like my god. It's incredible
The new update runs so smooth
As much as I enjoy the Eye in the sky vids, would love more gameplay vids Moi.
The scorecard/AAR could impact gameplay more than anything since the ICO
Ngl it would be sick if they added like a cartel faction, just insurgents but they got even more goofy ass weaponry and technicals
I think there should be a LAT load out with a stinger (surface to air) and a AT rocket.
Great faction
Managed to wipe out a full logi with the WPMC vehicle with the gatling gun, my buddy driving at mach fck speeds.
Those poor sods didn't even know what hit them.
Ok with the Stubby Variant M4 it should only have the ability to fit through smaller spaces like doors and windows and hallways more easily.
@@cdgncgn I don't fly helicopteres and have been playing Squad since Alpha 16, PR before then. STFU!!!!!!!!
PMC versus Militia will be fun
Love the m14
You forgot the M32
what server do u use
I don't think MANPADs are required. If they are implemented at all realistically they won't be that effective as time to fire will be too long.
The biggest threat on the battlefield to helicopters are HMGs and auto cannons, which every faction has plenty of. And of course the ZSU 23-2 is in game.
pmcs get a sundy, sick
PS2 player spotted, VS NC or TR?
@moidawg just got a new pc and it’s got a great specs but still figuring out how to set graphics up to look as sharp and clean as urs do? What are you running in is it 4k ?
Would be cool to have some AI manned base emplacements and AI chilling at the main base repelling main base campers.
