I wana say, I consider George a brother in Christ and am rooting for him. But.. I’m Sad To Say This.. JiDion, Don’t Listen To This Advice From George Janko. Stick to your convictions!

I think the advice George was giving him can only best apply best to a mature believer whose faith in Christ is strong but everyone has their own convictions from the Holy Spirit. The Apostle Paul encouraged us not to do or say things that’ll stumble weak believers. This could easily make Jidion feel like he can mingle with the world and God. I remember when I was a new believer, I thought I could still hang around my worldly company and not be moved but it didn’t end well because they influenced me instead and I went back to my old self. I agree with your take, all in all.

I actually agree 100%. Janko is kinda like Justin Bieber, we know they love Jesus but always confused based on there decisions..

Paul I agree with you on this one. We still struggle with sin at times,but our environments can definitely shape us. There's a few times I had to rethink decisions depending on the environment.

Good thoughts! I appreciated your point about questioning salvation when there is no life change. Yes we are saved through faith, but our lives should reflect that decision. Simply repeating some prayer is not what saves us.

I think George’s message which he could have articulated a lot better, and not said some things was basically:
First with the gospel sometime it does sound like JiDion may be operating from a works based faith. Where I think it’s so important to understand that it’s Gods grace that frees us not our behavior but because of that you want to do good works because of the grace. And what JiDion May have had is knowing the grace is there but not acknowledging and accepting it.
Secondly which I don’t rlly agree with but I get the sentiment is don’t be too hard on yourself with sin. Which…eek i don’t like that. But I think he’s getting at how when new Christians are walking in the light and fall - they fall hard. And then they fall back into their old ways. And George may be concerned that JiDion will be too hard on himself and fall back. To that I say having fellowship is so important in going through that inevitable “stumble”
Lastly I think JiDion should distance himself for a while as he grows in his faith and like Paul said come back knowing how to navigate the world. But so early in the walk it’s not healthy to be so immersed in that world.

To me, George sounds like he could still be in the babe in Christ stage. Not able to discern good and evil. You cannot mentor someone if you cannot properly discern right from wrong yourself. It's like the blind leading the blind. This man is trying to explain why he needs to change his life for Jesus and George is giving advice that would cause him to stay lukewarm.
I hear you🙏 It’s tough to grow when you’re in the industry and surrounded by the industry.
Paul, I think you’re spot on!! It looks like to me that George is being a bit dismissive towards JiDion. I hope JiDion sees this video. I can see that George feels strongly about the entertainment industry & it is important to go in & be a light, however, we need to go in like you said, when we are solid in our faith!

I don’t know George and never heard of him but this video do not make me think he is a Christian. NONE of the advice was anywhere close to biblically accurate. Most of it actually went away from the Bible. These are the people the Bible says to mark and avoid!
Preach it Paul! This was a very good rebuke, full of truth and love! You quoted a lot of scripture from memory and that is so so vital in rebukes like these. I believe the Holy Spirit was speaking through you.

Couldn't agree more. Very encouraging to hear our brother in Christ being firm but gracious in his rebuke of a fellow brother.
Makes me happy that he is turning to Jesus. I’ve always been skeptical about George though. He is in a rough patch with faith vs career.
I hope someone/ many people sends this link to him, because many give advice that is not scripture based and God inspired

The thing about the entertainment industry is that it’s a balancing act. A lot of celebrities may very well be convicted by the Holy Spirit. But, they also have to be careful not to offend their audiences that enable them to make their living in entertainment. Case in point - Dave Mustaine of Megadeth, Nicko McBrain of Iron Maiden, Justin Bieber, Alice Cooper, Bono. Not everybody balances well.Not everybody can be Bono. 😂

You can't go against a favored black man and get away with it these days. Protect your brand.
Well we do need to point out that jidion believes in a works based salvation which is also not biblical he needs to learn to also rightly divide the word of God

Well done George’s advice is wrong here and I believe this pushback straight after Jidion has devoted his life to Christ is actually demonic nothing of his own doing deliberately though. This rebuke is healthy 👍🏾

Actually discern everything with the holyspirt.
Can you make it clear when you talk about salvation? Do you think a truly saved person who has accepted Christ and repented of sin can ever lose their salvation? If so, you’d have to be pretty clear about exactly when that happens, because it would be black and white, not wishy washy. Or were you questioning if Jidion was ever truly saved based on his comments and behavior?

@PaulandMorgan knew it. I'm a moderate Democrat. Fiscally progressive but socially conservative due to my religious beliefs (I'm Muslim).
God created hell and sin (God didnt have to create hell or sin because God has unlimited options, God can do anything) God creates human beings KNOWING they are destined for hell but creates them anyways. God knew Eve would disobey him in the garden so he knew that the sin he created would enter the world. God knows all and can do all. God can certainly see what will happen in the future.
Doesnt matter if God gave humans freewill or not God knows what all human beings will choose to do or not do before they even choose.

How can there be genuine loving response to God without the presence of free will? No free will = coercion and manipulation. Authentic love demands freedom of choice even when it chooses wrongly.
God is a good God! God did not create sin...God created man with free choice, man chose to sin and still does so. Without free choice we are not even human. Free choice makes evil possible, we make it actual. Hell was created, but for "the devil and his angels" not for man. But we chose hell when we reject His gracious offer, redemption based on the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross alone. God has done everything in His power to keep us out of hell! By the way, if God is truly good and He is, then He must judge sin and evil, so there is hell. God is good.
