This is what I do when I deliver a load while the receiver says to drop it somewhere else. If they give me an address, that is even better. So what I do is I pull off out of the way somewhere within the premises. I will read the directions and then look at the satellite imagery in Google maps or Earth. Then I will look at the street views to see if they match the directions. There may be descriptions of buildings or trailers and if you see these on Google Earth, then that is the place. So to those people who have been driving trucks for a hundred years now or ever since the Pilgrims arrived on the Mayflower, I understand that you had no technology and no phone so there is no point in responding. I never take a trailer to a place I have never been without studying the route first, even if I may be in the way with no place to park first. It is better to piss someone off than to be in stuck in front of a low clearance or residential area.
With all due respect---construction is necessary on interstates no matter new or re-hab---I worked on the interstate system for over 20yrs ----the workers risk their lies (imagine working just 5ft away from cars and trucks doing 70+mph) thats why they slow everyone down---to save lives!!! I realize that you are chained to a time clock for on time delivery---delays along the way are a given---please excersize caution!!! I've been there and done that and it weighs very heavy on your mind as to whether you will be next!! Thank you for listening!!
Man I felt the same stress coming into Atlanta today and seeing the copilot light up with red pretty much all through the I-285 area but luckily it was not as accurate as it thought. It was only super bad for the people getting off for I-85 and I-20. As a Florida resident having to go on home time i have to go through there almost every time to go home i absolutely despise that city. Im very glad that you both made it through that area as safely as possible!
if you thought that was bad, then you shoud try driving in the UK , because 2 of those 3 lanes would have been closed, i took 5 hours one time to do 3 miles you are so lucky in the USA
That’s why I was always trying to run at night I use to start out leaving around 8:30 pm and try to shut down around 7 to 9 am pending on the hours plus I ran a lot of east coast Georgia NYC ,Boston ,Pittsburgh especially dropping in City again be safe an happpy trails
Well, if people would or could read the signs warning the lane closures, they would or should start merging and traffic would or should flow smoothly. But face in phone or no read English and that's what happens. Always glad that there wasn't a accident.
It could be worse. A person could do doordash full time and after gas and expenses only make around $600 per week. And still deal with lot's of idiot drivers as well doing it. You can see why I need to get a CDL.
Your experience and momentary confusion with the 10 foot bridge reminded me of a time decades ago when I was pulling flatbeds/drop frame trailers when another driver and I hauled cement mixers from north of Kamloops BC to California. They were put on drop frame trailers and had the air let out of the tires to make them legal. The legal height in BC was 14 feet, and we were about 13'8". When pulling the loads through Kamloops, they had a 'truck route' we had to follow. On that truck route was a railroad bridge with a sign on it that said it was 13'6". So we went one at a time, very, very slowly with the other driver watching. Luckily we just made it through. What were they thinking???????
Thanks for the ride along. I do like all of the videos I just don't comment on everyone. You have so many to read. Really liked the trip tru Tenn. Enjoy your break. Rest up get a good hot meal & shower. Be Safe & Be Careful
I was talking to someone about roadworks 🚧 today he was complaining about them I said it’s one of those jobs where nobody likes them it’s a now win job working on the road .
When I felt my anxiety level climb, I just reminded myself that at some point this day will end and I’ll get and out walk away from the truck. Then do it all over again the next day, wha??! 😂 Hang in there Kevin, at least you have your jovial sidekick. Bless you both.
Retired DOT. Yall complain about rough roads and when something is being done about the rough roads yall complain you can't have it both ways just saying
Sorry Kevin. I love my wife but, yours is so annoying. This video was like watching 5th grade school project. She is a major distraction. I know a lot of your subscribers have never been in a truck, but her observations are so self-explanatory. I will keep watching but w/o sound. BTW I'm a retired 47-year OTR driver. Stay safe.

When I heard your GpS say Cassville-White Rd, I nearly choked! lol You were practically in my backyard!! Wish I could have said hey. lol Drive safe!
The real stress is when you wake up in the AM TO FREEZING RAIN and having to drive 20 mph all day...
They experienced that last year in West Virginia 🙂
On point
There are many many videos of that bridge being it.

It’s real stressful when you clearly run a 🛑 SIGN on a camera 🤦🏻♂️
should have planned for delays
I’m on my 3rd trailer OTR Maintenance call now inside a week. All trailer issues!
