I tell you what I been seeing a bunch of truck stops that are putting up signs saying they don’t have hot water now I’m going to get a hotel room if it’s that serious and I’m washing my clothes too because I seen a bunch of truck stops saying they washers don’t work !!!! The security at Florida rest stops was precipitated by the murder of a British tourist and injury of his companion at a rest stop on I-10 in Jefferson County east of Tallahassee in October of 1993. This was the final straw for the governor after a series of tourist assaults and killings in Florida around that time.
That “bridge” with trees & bushes was a wildlife crossing.

You have to have a portable shower kit. I'm sure you can even get a water heater .
I went over 40 days without a shower during the invasion of Iraq. Baby wipes and a canteen and a travel bottle of pert plus .
First off...thank you for your service!!! We are very grateful for courageous people like you! And secondly, forty days without a shower. In the desert. Wow! That's a long time. The portable shower is an interesting idea, but truthfully the longest we've had to wait was 3-4 days. And that's pretty tame compared to your 40. Also, Kevin uses alcohol and paper towels for a wipe down when needed. We also like to quote some Western Kevin watched..."You take a bath once a year. Whether you need it or not." LOL!

Sorry you can't get into a truck. We are very happy to take you along with us!! And you'll enjoy the next few videos that are definitely a bit longer. During our RV days we met another RVer in a wheelchair who had his rig set up with a lift for getting in. He gave us a tour. It was pretty nice how it had been modified.

I do nose in as well when on the outside of parking lot to get relief from engine/reefer noise and smell.

I remember when I was driving having the rolls of paper those are extremely heavy and the glass marbels from John mansfield for insulation is heavy also definitely both my wife and I miss trucking so glad ya’ll are just like what we did together that is wonderful Florida is adding more rest areas my wife and I used to live in the Destin area of Florida
I remember when trucking was actually a really really difficult job I mean it's still pretty difficult and can be very draining but it's pretty wild that CDL licenses soon are going to be one of the easiest things to achieve especially now that most rigs are fully automatic and fully decked out and does electronics in his all buttons and labeled a blind man can almost drive one

A tip for you me being a trucker just recently started but I'm on the road constantly I ended up buying a portable shower it was one of the best things I did you can find them obviously online but a lot of camping stores carry them

That GPS placement isn't DOT legal they can pull you over for that just letting you know
I'm okay at driving stick but I'm not going to lie I messed up a few times while driving a big rig on my body let me drive his that was a fully automatic it is so truly night and day
So how do you like the new tablet?
And obviously as a trucker I assume you know all about the trucking GPS that there's this app that you can get and sign up your rig for it and it will show you basically 99.9% of the best routes for big rigs they don't really take you the same Routes as cars
The cat scale app is already installed on the tablet.

Are you guys staying busy with this economy? I know I am working but looking for something better. Plus the wife and I would love to say in person, I know as a OTR that scheduling things are difficult outside of work but maybe one day who knows.
Hey there! Yes! Still getting the miles. Sometimes have to work with asset manager when loads don’t use HOS productively. But that’s not a problem. He works to find a better load or change appointment times or even splits the load. The pre-plans aren’t coming as fast as before. But compared to a lot of places it seems things are still pretty good here. Didn’t understand your comment about your wife and OTR. Please elaborate if there’s a question I didn’t understand. 😃
@@TheJoyofTrucking I was saying my wife always says “ do you think we might ever see them” and I tell her it’s hard when your an Over the Road driver to be able to schedule any random meet points. I been a Driver for 25 years and my wife finally after all that time has just been able to go with me OTR . This will be here 5th trip with me. I have been running the 40fwy for the past 15 years. So the chances for us to cross paths is remote. But I say you never know

Jimmy's Road Lyfe has a portable shower in his truck. He's a former Marine.
It's an idea. But we generally find a shower within a day or two. Just not always when we want it. Longest we've gone is 3-4 days and then Kevin uses wipes.
