Mount Rinjani, Indonesia - Hiking huge volcano for sunrise

How to climb Mount Rinjani, the path through the jungle to the campsite and 4am wake up to reach summit 2! We started at Tetebatu, South of Mount Rinjani, which meant a different route to the majority of hikers who reach summit 1 from the North. It also meant we were first to the top and the only ones up there!

You're right it's summit 2 which i mention. We were staying South of Rinjani so instead of driving round to the North we went to Summit 2, which is 300m less. It also has way less people on the track, which means we wer the first and only people up there for sunrise, which for us was the better option!
