to be fair, V1 is fighting through hell out of what is essentially boredom.
V1 is aware that it's own destruction is inevitable soon. without humans, there's no blood in the surface for it to fuel itself with. when it finishes destroying hell, it will be out of fuel sources.
no matter the choices it makes, it will run out of fuel soon, and power down forever. The only thing it has left to do is fight against the most powerful creatures left alive.
