I'm watching this video at the age of 36, while I am about to start my photography education at the university and aspiring the same goals as Lindsay Adler.
I also had a chance to watch Lindsay live at Henry's show. So down-to-Earth and honest with what she's been doing, and the way she does express herself, and speaks out some facts... The industry is so daunting for being most of the time all about money and networking; and not talent or passion. However, seeing people like Lindsay, who persistently follow their passion and succeed, motivates many others.
Lindsay is a class act, in my professional opinion. Exemplary in every way, the epitome of everything great about the sincerity and relevance of our craft as a dedication to oneself, a service to another, an inspiration to viewers of her work, and equally the record and reflection of light and subject and location and most importantly - purpose. More than just photography, her work is an absolute endeavor of fine art as the enraptured embodiment of an intention. Always a wellspring of knowledge and instruction to share, which is somehow bridled by this enthusiastically obsessive organization of elements and deterministically resourceful problem solving adaptive process. It is the equivocal of watching any great artist from all of human history that I refuse to name such as not to steal away any small sentiment of this comment from Lindsay, herself. I've watched her as a feature, taken her classes and workshops, and admired her work for several years and occasionally something passes by my radar that reminds me of how truly exceptional she is as an influence in my work and a standard by which I approach visual deconstruction of every image I see to measure the effect of the cause of the photography. This is long winded enough, I just felt the sudden urge after watching this archived episode from my video suggestions. Framed needs to be resurrected, imho. Cheers!
Randomly, I came across this video... and it made me smile, it's from ten years ago? Where do you see yourself in ten years, Lindsay, the woman asked. And it's now ;) @lindsayadlerphoto wishing you many more beautiful and successful years! Your videos and knowledge sharing is very, very appreciated, thank you! Greetings and blessings from Croatia!
Lyndsey...your are so inspiring! I can't stop watching your videos! Thank you so much! Wondering if reflectors or post processing were done with the photo's of the 2 ladies together by the car? Love the lighting on these photos!
